Normally I love this author's work, but this one was as huge disappointment for the following reasons:
Obviously meant to be funny but it just wasn't e.g. professional Foosball player - really? Room mates were annoying, bordering on obnoxious, not funny.
The British vocabulary was clichéd and labored. The hackneyed crisps/chips discussion, constant use of "bloke" (not that common in UK), liberal use of knickers, except when she forgot and reverted to panties all contributed to an atmoisphere of parody.
Author failed to create any chemistry between Logan & ,Candace. She stated it existed, but her writing didn't show it.

I’m always a huge fan of hers and preorder every new release. I was let down by this book. I needed more length, more depth, more plot twist. The story line was good but I just felt like it needed something and I was able to finish it in no time and I want to feel like I’ve paid for something after I’ve read a book.

Logan and Candace were everything I needed in a rom-com book right now!! Normally RS’s books tend to be slow burn but these two were hot from the start! And I LOVED IT!! If you love a good sports related book that isn’t crazy into the sport itself – this one is for you! There was just enough talk about the sport Logan played to understand his life and what he does without being bombarded by it!! I loved that Logan was cocky yet the sweetest person you could look for in a hero. Candace was quirky and awkward but also sweet and adorable and the way Logan loved it instantly made my heart happy the more I got into the book. Another favorite of this book was that her and her flat mates were British, it added a whole new level to this book and man were they both perfect additions to it – they were no holds bar and hilarious at every turn! You never knew what was coming out of their mouths! Logan’s nephew Briggs was also a wonderful addition to this great set of characters – his interactions with Candace were GOLD, especially during their adorable date night. Everything about this book was pure RS Gray but so much different than the last few books I’ve read from her. There was no slow burn or haters to lovers story, there was this instant connection from their first meeting and sometimes, you just need that in a book! This is defiantly another touchdown for RS Grey! She is always able to come up with unique story lines and you can tell the hard work she puts in to make it known she knows what she is writing about! This will defiantly be a re-read for me very soon!
*Thanks to RS Grey for sending me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review*

This. Was. So. Much. Sexy. Fun! This book combined all my very favorite things. Football, a sassy and funny heroine, equally sassy and funny friends, a sexy quarterback, and wonderfully funny British expressions. R.S. Grey writes romantic comedies like no other. Funny funny dialogues and great characters as always. Logan and Candace are equally surprised by they're pairing and equally intrigued by the possibilities. Their story will make you laugh out loud all the way through with several "that's so sweets" thrown in for good measure. Now I sit and wait for the audio version to come out because listening to this will be even more fun, which is hard to believe. I'm going to read it again in about starting in about an hour!!!!!! Thanks Ms. Grey once again for the entertainment, you never disappoint!

This was a LOT of fun!!!

I love a great sports romance, even more so if the hero is an interesting mix of sweet and demanding and the heroine is a character that really stands out.

Candace was probably why I had so much fun reading this book. She is British, feisty, has almost no filter, is a bit naive (endearingly so), and is incredibly likable. She and her two roommates cracked me up non-stop. They were a bit ridiculous at times, but it was just enough to be hilarious.

I loved the overall storyline of a famous quarterback falling in love with a pre-school teacher. There were definitely two worlds colliding, but I thought the author did a great job keeping it interesting. Thanks to two characters that actually wanted to make a relationship work.

I thought Candace was way too naive at times when it came to being with a famous athlete. But the naïvety fit her bubbly personality, so I took it in stride.

So overall, this one gets a 👍🏼 !!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars My new favorite RS Grey book!! Loved it!

I was unprepared for the level of love I have for Candace, Logan, their friends and this book. I knew I was going to love it (as I have with all RS Grey books I’ve read) but the love I have for this book is on another level and this will most definitely make my top reads of 2020!

Candace is a hoot. She’s sassy, knows what she wants, sarcastic, amazing, witty, perfect. She is literally everything I’ve ever wanted to be. Her sense of humor perfectly matches mine and she’s British! So I got to read the whole book with my terrible British accent in my head 😂🙈

Logan, Logan, Logan. My heart. He is swoony and loving and sweet. Just all of the good things and I couldn’t get enough of him. He just loves and gets Candace’s own personal brand of crazy fun and their sweet moments together are just so 🥰🥰💖😍❤️🥰💖🤣 I cant even use words.

RS Grey has done it again. This book is hilarious.

Candace is a preschool teacher from England. When Logan comes to pick up his nephew, sparks fly. Candace has no idea who he is, which is a breath of fresh air for Logan as he is a famous NFL quarterback (not a famous foosball player, which Candace originally thought). Everyone wants something from him, either an interview or a picture.

I loved the chemistry between these two characters. They are very down to earth and Logan doesn't have that famous ego. He is sweet and tentative. Logan has to be the best book boyfriend. Candace is hilarious, I mean genuine rolling on the floor, laughing out loud funny. This has to be the funniest book Rachel has written to date. Candace's friends and roommates are amazing! They are hilarious and their support and banter is genuinely amazing.

The pace is well balanced and not very practicable, I loved that there were a few twists and turns throughout the story that kept me intrigued.

Rachel has done a lot of research to get the English mannerisms perfect, ie calling a phone, a mobile instead of a cell, Chips and Crisps. These were very well done.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I already can't wait for the next book.

Thank you @RSGrey for a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
