I really did like the humor of Holly. She was easy going and liked her job at Wifetime Network. She also seriously lusted after one of the execs at work---Meredith. Thru a series of events Hol and Mer end up having a brief but life changing holiday in Hawaii. Loved Holly's family, her home town and her friends---especially Gwen. Humor and hot -- well, you know--is what this story is all about. After Holly feels betrayed by Mer, she sets out to recover. Turns out that you really can go home again and find what you thought was missing in your life. A very sweet and satisfying love story and the giggle out loud moments are just perfect. I only expect wonderful stories from Elle Spencer and this one was everything good. Many thanks, Elle, for sharing your words with the rest of us.

This is a made for TV movie from beginning to end. I wouldn't miss the movie premiere, would save it on the DVR, and watch it a couple of times during the year. Yes, it's all too perfect but what is a Christmas movie, or book, if reality can't be suspended for a little while? if you still believe in Santa, you'll enjoy reading about Holiday, Meredih, and their little tribe. Come to think of it, it's also a little reminiscent of Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin. MS. Spencer could have a comedic series here. Enjoy.

I have always loved Elle Spencer and this book did not disappoint. Spencer has a way of making me laugh at all the funny banter between friends, I know I spent the first 50 pages grinning like an idiot and actually laughing out loud. She made me cry at the sad moments, she also made me cry with happy tears. I loved the story so much. It was funny, sad, sweet, adorable and with steamy sex scenes.
The ending was a bit cliche, but for once I did not mind it.

I'm a fan of every Elle Spencer book and The Holiday Treatment is my new favorite. What a fabulous story packed full of humour that had me laughing out loud at every page. Charming, witty, interesting characters is this author's signature so it was no surprise that the main characters are so likeable. I loved this book and I will probably re-read it every year at Christmas.
