5.0 out of 5 starsWhat a great author!

I’ve read the wide majority of his books now, and I’ll be sad when I complete them all. This man writes with a solid competence, combined with a level of maturity seldom found in today’s author’s. None of the ridiculous gratuitous sex, none of the whiny millennial dialogues, just good hard storytelling, while allowing the reader the courtesy of filling in the blanks for themselves. Plenty of detail, without bogging us down with too much fantasy-science. All his stories to date have encapsulated well hewn intriguing plot lines. This man is an epic “big picture” poet and a master of prose. Thank you Sir.
The author was able to create a totally believable story in this episode. I was immersed in the totally believable action and thrilled with the continuation of the series. If the author wrote 20 more books in this series, I’d buy every one. Best writing I’ve read in years.
I am enjoying this series of books. It is the excitement of what will happen next. There are many Mil SciFi books out there with personal armor being a large part of the story. And it's also here in this book. What makes it different is the people you are reading about. Who are they? Where are they from? Where are they going? You will get hooked on the main character, and everyone he comes in contact with. You will hope that no one dies, but it is war so someone has to die.

Without people you can't accomplish the mission, any mission. I remember seeing these words as a young artillery trainee at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in 1973. Those words hold true even centuries from now to any military person and the main character of this series continues to show it through his deeds and not words alone. Bottom line up front, "You fight for brothers and sisters in order to accomplish the mission," sometimes even that is not enough. Nuff said!!!
5.0 out of 5 starsA wonderful addition to the genre!

I read the first book in the series and couldn't put it down. I immediately read the next three volumes and was equally pleased. The fifth book is coming in November and I can hardly wait. Good action and I loved the premise of the story. The author mentioned his interest in Science Fiction started when he was a boy with Heinlein and Simak. It shows because the writing style is similar and the story telling follows the same simple yet exciting path.
I enjoy this series. It is a compelling addition to the genre. Sometimes I just feel like a solid ripping yarn and this series hits the spot I strongly recommend this series for folks who are fans of Mil Sci-Fi.
5.0 out of 5 starsOne of the top military scifi authors in my opinion!

The storyline and action is clear and concise. The main character is believable and honorable. The series almost demands to be read in sequence to grasp the character growth. KUDOS for really great editing.
I have only recently discovered this author, and I am very happy I have. I read one of his books and then bought all the others I could find. This is the last one I have read the characters are full bodied and believable. The story line has twists and turns that work, read you won’t be disappointed.
5.0 out of 5 starsThe continuing saga of interspecies war.

This continues with the same gritty description of the hostile actions Cam is involved in in the final two major battles of the war. Not many of the previous characters make it to the end, but (spoiler alert) the most important two do. Another sequel to come, but after the war!
Being a leader is more than just giving orders, its by leading as an example can a leader be great. The story gets more interesting and i cant wait to read more. Have pre ordered the next book already. Thank you.
