I am a fan of this author. Extremely great writer. This is the book I had the biggest trouble finishing. It wasn't as much a page turner lime the kill the others but I finally finished. I still love the series

I absolutely love this series. Adele. John. Robert. I’m worried about Robert and look forward to seeing how the relationship between Adele and John develops. These characters have depth and I hate I must wait to discover what’s next.

Wonderfully written,, however,, Adele should not be too distant concerning her father. Hopefully, soon Robert and she will realize their true feelings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emotions flying high!
Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2020
Another great story where feelings and emotions are flying high among the main characters. The feeling of betrayal Adele holds against her father, her mixed feelings regarding her partner in Europe, the feelings project all the time and sometimes we are just unable to read them right. This story is fast paced, full of angst and based on the development of a heinous crime. Family is everything for some people until we find that the meaning is everything for other just in a twisted way. A great mystery thriller which held my attention till the end.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

5.0 out of 5 stars By far one of the best yet!

Loved this Adele Sharp book! It was well thought out and it delves deeper into Adele’s mother’s murder that happened back when she was a little girl. Her father has been in the past few books more too so you get to know him better and how his mind works. Also how similar Adele and her father are with not being ok when they miss something. Talk about some dark thinking from the killer in this new book! I highly suggest it!

Fast paced thriller where the meaning of family has been twisted into something horrific. Adele, along with her French partner, investigates the disappearance of young adults in the Black Woods of Germany. With no real clues to help them or knowing how many are actually missing, they must unravel what is happening in the Black Woods.
