Loved this book. Really enjoyed Amity and Zack's story. Amity became a WAC, while Zack helped on the Gasoline board and became a math teacher at the hometown High school. Before Amity took on a new position, she went home to make amends with her family. I was fascinated reading about Amity's family life and WAC life and read the book in a 24 hour period. If you like clean, stories with heart, I highly recommend 'One Lilac Christmas'. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
I loved it! Although this book is a novella, it didn't lack entertainment. This series is a must-read! The narration was excellent! The author did an excellent job with the characters. I can't praise Pamela Ferguson's writing skills enough! I look forward to reading more books by this author! I was given a free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

One Lilac Christmas: A Lilac Romance Novella was a great read by Pamela Ferguson. Zachary suggested that he and Amity enlist in the military together. He never thought that the recruiters would turn him away because of his flat feet Amity is fighting in the war and Zach has always regretted not telling her how he feels. Amity's commanding officer encourages her to set things right at home before her new assignment. She visits home for Christmas and hopes for a miracle. I really enjoyed reading Zach and Amity's story and can't wait to read more by Pamela Ferguson.

Just ran across this book while scrolling on FB. I thought I'd check it out before putting the book on my tbr list. Before I knew, I had the whole book read. A sweet romance, taking place in December 1943, kept me happily entertained with the Christmas storyline and likeable characters. Will check out more of Pamela Ferguson's books. JudyE

This is a short and sweet romance set during World War 2. A free spirited, patriotic woman from a deeply religious family will not be held back from serving her country or loving her man. This is a romance without anything raunchy, so if you are looking for a novella to take your mind off things for a bit, this might suit you perfectly.

This sweet story of a World War II romance on the home front will warm your heart and get you in the mood for Christmas! I received a complimentary copy of the audio book; I was not required to write a favorable review. All opinions in this review are my own.
