"Porcelain Elephants" by Ron Ripley: One of Mr. Ripley's best in a long line of great tales, "Porcelain Elephants" is by turns heartwarming, terrifying, and heartwrenching. For me, the human Evil proved far worse than the admittedly supernatural elements. I found this story very satisfying.

"The Cursed Necklace" by Anna Sinjin: Now that is scary. Kudos for the implacability of this particular horror, and for the way that the author has interwoven simple, common, human emotions to create a pathway to Horror. Very good!

"Do You Hear What I Hear?" by Sara Clancy: I do enjoy my Christmas Horror...but this is TOO SCARY!!
DO NOT read at night alone! I read it on a sunny, hot, front porch at noon
AND I'M TERRIFIED!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars These are great

Scare Street strikes again - this time the bait is trinkets and jewelry. Two hired thugs try to kill a homeless man who is living in a metal shed at a junkyard only to learn the hard way that he has some powerful protectors. A man decides to present his girlfriend with a necklace he suspects is stolen and she pays the ultimate price. A woman finds a mysterious present under her Christmas tree and decides to open it before Christmas, to her misfortune. There is much more to these three tales, of course, but I don't want to ruin it for others. You'll just have to buy the book and see for yourself. I highly recommend that you do so.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Short Stories

It is hard to think that the Scare Street team can continually outdo themselves with their stories, but they never disappoint! I could not put this book down! Of the three stories featured in this book, each one had just the right level of intrigue, intensity, and scare factor!

Stories are:
Porcelain Elephants
The Cursed Necklace
Do You Hear What I Hear?

My favorite was the Porcelain Elephants out of the three. Perfectly done, and written in a way where its believable!

4.0 out of 5 stars Eerie noises can make you wonder

Porcelain Elephants was my favorite. The other two stories were written well, but not as intriguing as the first one. The necklace was ok. Do you hear what I hear drove me wildly insane because as I was reading it, I could imagine being in the story and hearing weird sounds.... Later on that night, I dreamed that I was the character in the story hearing weird stuff and no one else was there to hear me, let alone see me.

Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2020
Get it! I absolutely love this short story series only complaint is too short, always want more and hate when they end. All 3 were good and due to authors’ vivid insane imaginations . No favorites as loved all 3. 1st Porcelain Elephants protective gifts 2nd The Cursed Necklace is bout the title and 3rd Do you Hear What I Hear a horrendous Christmas. Highly recommend if you want quick horror shorts, keep them coming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner!

Another great collection. Sometimes haunted items aren’t a bad thing, especially for our main character in the first story. The second story is a lesson in why you should never purchase things from nondescript men, especially when the thing has a creepy hypnotic undertone. And our third story finds us in the Christmas spirit with an entity that is not so holly and jolly. A great collection by great authors!

These three short stories were awesome! My favorite was the first! I really enjoyed reading about the porcelain elephants. The last story was just as creepy as the movie on the same subject for those who can guess the evil villain it is about...the famous evil Clause. Good collection!!

The first story was endearing. The second is a scary enough thought that I'll be wary of pawnshop for a while. The last story seriously freaked me out. Awesome job Sarah Clancy!!! This is a great volume and now on to v27
