5.0 out of 5 stars A fun read, with just enough serious to keep it interesting. Totally worth the read!

A hot hockey player.  A woman that owns a sex shop that focuses on women.  A matchmaking grandmother and her 2 best friends.  Throw in a little strip dance for charity, and you have all the makings for a crazy good time, right?

This story started with a guy that just wants his grandmother to stop trying to set him up.  He cooks up a crazy scheme with a couple of his friends and it goes from there.  Of course, nothing good can come from a scheme this off the wall.

Emma and Travis are both playful, fun characters.  I enjoyed reading all about their crazy path to love.  Travis thinks he is happy with his life just the way it is.  Emma knows that she wants more, but doesn't know how to get it.  But they both have issues stemming from their childhoods that keep them from being in a relationship.

Let's not forget Travis's grandmother and her friends.  They are hilarious!  I could not get enough of them.  I think I laughed throughout most of the story, from their antics.

This was a fun read, with just enough serious thrown in to keep it interesting.  Definitely worth the read.  Although there are visits from characters from previous books in the series and mentions of previous events, this story can be read as a standalone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such A Fun Book!

I loved this book. Seriously loved it. During the second I did have the unfortunate accident of having soda coming out my nose because I was laughing in hysterics. BTW soda out the nose hurts. I exercised caution as I continued with said soda. This book was a charming read with a wonderful guy and gal. What I absolutely adored was the introduction of a group of senior women who kept me in stitches. They were incorporated throughout this wonderful book. This story was solid and the cast of characters were fully realized. I really liked that characters from the two previous books were included in such wonderful ways. This is one book you should read. You should do yourself a favor and purchase the entire series. Thank you for making this book available in paperback. It really shows Stina cares and respects all types of readers. Wonderful work Stina. I can't wait to read the rest! denise bailey

5.0 out of 5 stars Review: By The Bay 3: Decidedly With Love

Decidedly With Love by Stina Lindenblatt is the third book in her latest series, By The Bay . Quite possibly my favorite in this series so far thanks to the wonderfully adorable grandmother, the fountain and the two main characters.

Travis is another hockey player, friends with Trent from book 1 and teammates with Josh from book 2. He lost his parents young and has been with his grandmother since. She is his world and he dotes on her like she is his world. When he picks her up for a doctors appointment from a visit to Aphrodite's Boutique with her other silver-haired friends he is instantly drawn to the store owner, Emma.

Emma remembers Travis from high school, remembers the pain of his brush off and is not surprised to notice he doesn't remember her at all. When he keeps showing up in her life and just won't leave her be she finds he is there to possibly save the day, or at least her lease issue. All she has to do is to agree to be his fake girlfriend so that his wonderful grandmother stops trying to set him up on terrible dates.

Sounds easy right? That's what they thought too. Funny, emotional, slightly tear-jerking, this story, told in dual POV was a pleasure to read. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Starts slow, but it really takes off after the 5th. chapter.

A lot of the first few chapters involved more inner dialogue and thoughts, than anything else. But once you get past that part, it takes off and is very entertaining. Emma and Travis are both playful, fun characters to watch. Especially while they were fighting so hard to keep their real feeling for one another hidden. I also loved all the secondary characters, and felt they added so much heart, as well as, humor to the story. But...if I'm honest, it was Travis's grandmother, Fanny and her cohorts that stole the whole show for me. These ladies were not only shameless, but were so hilarious with their wild antic's. Just picturing these ladies in Emma's store, or at the charity event had me in fits of all out laughter.

Great story, one I wouldn't mind reading over and over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emma & Travis Fake hot relationship...yes please!

Emma & Travis’ book was my favorite and I absolutely love all of Stina’s books so that is saying something. It is saying how these two started off on the wrong foot then decided to try a fake realtionship to keep Travis’ Granny happy because she keeps trying to set him up. No two people are better suited for each other. They both have sad backgrounds in their life and both have trust issues. However, if you put your faith in the right person, then you will get out of a relationship what you put into it. This is a beautiful love story, it is extremely well written and entertaining. An absolute must read!!!

Stina Lindenblatt has done it again! This book was the perfect combination of angsty, funny, sweet, and swoony, plus it had all the feels. Travis was a compassionate commitment-phobe with a big heart. You don't always see that combination. He's my new book boyfriend. Emma was given a sad lot in life, yet even though she had been to hell and back, she still believed in love. You very rarely see that as well. It was very refreshing because I felt honesty throughout this book. Character development was on point. I highly highly recommend this book. If you don't read it you will truly miss out on a wonderful read.

Wow, loved, loved this story and the series. Travis is a hockey stud and Emma is an owner of a Sexy, Romantic female boutique. Both have faced tragedies from their childhood. I appreciated how the author didn't drone on and on about the characters' struggles from their past. It's funny, sad at times, but very sexy. Can't wait for more stories! (Wes and Hannah???)

Sometimes I drive myself mental with how crazy I make myself over the smallest of things. So I finished all the ARCs I had to immediately review and had a few due in a few weeks and had to decide what to read next. But nothing was grabbing me so I decided to read the next ARC due. Until I realised it was part of a series and I had only read part of it. And I fixated on the books I hadn't read. Despite having a kindle full of books and a KU subscription I found myself having to pay $5 for a book because my brain wouldn't let me read anything else. Gah.

Luckily for me this was a really easy to read book. The whole story just felt cozy. There was no major dramas and all the characters were really likable. I just enjoyed everything about it.

Travis and Emma were both really sweet. They each had their own reasons for being closed off from getting into a real relationship. And for both of them they were genuine, understandable reasons that I couldn't fault them for. But luckily for us Nanna Fanny made Travis open his eyes and see what was right under his nose.

So even though I started this book a little annoyed with myself I am really glad I sucked it up and read this book. And now I am going to dive straight into the next book in the series.

What a great read! I just p!owed through all three books and can't get over how good they were. Hot, sexy, romantic, Stine took familiar tropes and made them her own. I really need to know if Liam or Wes will get their HEA
