"Coffee Love" by Ron Ripley: Anger, New Hampshire, a favorite fictional setting of author Ron Ripley, is a STRANGE litle town. For its size and populace, it's grossly overpopulated with Ghosts. Worse, almost all of them are furious, raging, even evil. One such stars in this story, which illustrates capably (shudder) the definition of implacable (horror): "not capable of being appeased, significantly changed, or mitigated." Evil in life, evil in death (shudder).

"Respect Your Elders" by Anna Sinjin: Grief is all well and good. We respect that. It's understandable when grieving loved ones maintain a room as a shrine to the lost one. But this couple is certainly taking that notion to unexpected extremes....

"Blind Date" by Sara Clancy: I may entirely give up coffee after this. Thankfully, I don't frequent coffee shops. Definitely foreseeing nightmares from this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars How about a cuppa? Good to the last drop.

So now it's coffee. We need to fear coffee. Until I read these three stories, I never thought of coffee as anything more than something I enjoy in the morning with my english muffin. Little did I realize how naive I was. Ron Ripley returns once again to Anger, New Hampshire and introduces us to yet another one of his ghosts. This one has a real problem with a coffee shop that opened on the site of a mill he once owned. He doesn't deal well with the intrusion. Anna Sinjin tells the tale of an unfortunate house sitter who is hired to watch a home with a very particular resident who doesn't take kindly to her routine being upset. Finally, Sara Clancy gives us the story that really got under my skin - literally - of a guy who takes his blind date to a rather strange coffee shop and has to fight for his life against an invasion of tiny bugs that eat their victims from the inside out.
As usual, Scare Street pulls out all the stops to deliver the goods. This stuff just keeps getting better and better.

Loved these stories.. The theme seemed to hover around coffee. The first story involves a young man going to work in a coffee shop that is, you guessed it, haunted. Once again the author sucks me in so I felt like I was a participant. His ability to build the tension is what keeps me reading. Story number two is about a young house-sitter. While going over the instructions with the owners, she is puzzled by some of them, but they don't seem too difficult just strange. Like delivering a cup of coffee three times a day to an empty room. Story number three is about two people meeting in a coffee shop for a blind date. Things do not start off good because the man does not like coffee but the woman does and her friend owns the shop. There are also a lot of "no-see-'ems" flying around. Just when you thought it was safe...
Ron Ripley, Anna Sinjin and Sara Clancy you all have done it again. You've kept my attention and given me some chills. Great Job! I would definitely recommend this volume.

If you are a lover of coffee, you might want to think twice about reading this book! It will make you think twice about having that steaming hot cup of joe!

Ron Ripley never disappoints with his writing, and this book was no exception. The three stories included all revolve around coffee - from a ghost who cannot go without their daily coffee, to an angry spirit that there is shop where he once owned a mill.

Get lost in these stories - and if you are feeling daring - drink a cup of coffee while you read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gotcha!

I’m beginning to see a pattern with these books, I believe the last volume had an underlying theme of trees and this one the underlying theme seems to be coffee! Huzzah for me, in this supernatural world I would be safe, I don’t drink coffee! ...we’ve got a haunted coffee shop with an angry spirit, a haunted house with a ghost who is very particular about her coffee, among other things, and a blind date in a coffee shop that goes horribly. Great stories, well written as always!
