The third book in the series is full of action and colorful metaphors. Part spy story and part space battle. Characters that are not who they seem and the adventure continues..
Another great story by MD Cooper! Loved the crew of the Lightning Runner and Jax. I hope we get to see them all again soon! Maybe someday they will meet up with Tanis and Bob.
In many ways this Outlaws of Aquila series was so far an action packed diversion from the Aeon 14 series, though set in the same universe. Jax Bremen is certainly no angel, nor really an outright outlaw, though Sinclair will probably give you an argument about that. But escaping Sinclair took its toll and more so when the Lightning Runner anti-matter fuel supply is seriously in need of replenishment. Perhaps it makes sense that Penny would know of a hidden city inside a dwarve planet. But what an intricate, hazardous way to enter. And having found and gained entry to this city marvel, things anyhow unexpectedly and rapidly deteriorated into another battle for survival for the crew of the Lightning Runner. Marauder's Compass, being the final book in this series, is breath taking. Literally. And very much the ultimate in sheer extravagance in Sci Fi space opera. Enjoy.

Enjoyed this series. It was well thought out and fun to read. Would love to see a sequel. On the negative side I thought the multiple character first person was strange, but I couldn't write it. Keep up the great work.
Snarky dialogue and massive action plus some delightful twists in the plot. I've grown to really enjoy these characters and hope they show up again in the future.

Really enjoyed the characters and adventure! Occasionally the first person tripped me up, but it was overall a wonderful ride and I would love to see what they get up to next!
