Being raised in the Society of Friends (Quaker), I was intrigued by Margaret's book. I found it written in the true Quaker tradition, their mission to the Indians and the description of their first day services. I also loved how she wound forgiveness, love, peace through the story and captured the Almighty working power of God and the power of prayer. I also loved that a 17 year old girl became the minister and that she obeyed God's leading. It is an excellent read.
This is a good, captivating read! It's a love story intertwined with Quaker heritage, beliefs, ministry at the Quaker Shawnee Mission and among the Shawnee people. If you love history and Christian love stories, you'll love this one!
