3.0 out of 5 starsTries to explain something that may be beyond human explanation
Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2021
This is a good overview of the teachings of the Tao Te Ching. It tries to re-state the teachings in a way that is understandable to the modern reader. It seems repetitive but that's because (I think) the essence of the Tao is based on the repeated notion that "It" just is, and the human desire to control our surroundings causes strife and struggle where there doesn't need to be any. If we just allow and accept the natural flow to happen that "It" intends, life would be more enjoyable. This review is left voluntarily after being sent a free book.

Nice summarization. Reworded to easily understand concepts of the Tao. This kind of material should be given to everyone to read. It should be a requirement for people to gain a better understanding of themselves and how to live an abundant and joyful life with the ease that is available within each and every one of us.
This book is changing my life. This information and spiritual knowledge contained in this book has set me on a new walk in my journey for Truth. I can relax..I go with the flow and take the good with the bad. Thank you Mr. Barnes for sharing. Being a born again Christian, I was uptight and tense in my uncontrolled thoughts. I feel like a heavy weight has been lifted.
Tao Te Ching could be the answer to the world's chaos and problems. It a system of going back to the basics with each individual contributing to the whole . If only we could learn this way, perhaps the world would be a better place than it is today. Superbly written in the simplest language you can imagine. Humble yet so ppwerful
