5.0 out of 5 stars Rebel Edge! Suspenseful Romance💚💙

A twisted, suspenseful romance that quite put me on the edge of my seat. Rebel, or Lucy and Edge, or Keon didn't even get to know each other before all chaos ensumes. When he gets back to Texas, Rebel's in jail and he's vowed to save her.
New characters, a few familiars and a lot of risky plots are all needed. I love the setting at King-Alexander ranch and surrounding area.
These two had some excellent Texas Hot chemistry, very Edgy, but the little problem of someone trying to take out Rebel, needed to be "taken care of".
A journey that keeps you in the zone, with ups and downs and some mind boggling parallels to realities, very thought provoking for me.
This is a stand alone in a series and will give you a happy sigh for these two, but there are many more invincibles I can't wait to read about.

4.0 out of 5 stars The second book in this steamy romantic suspense series

4.5 stars
Edged is the second book in the Invincible series by Heather Slade. Keon Edgemon (aka Edge), who is a personal security expert, meets Rebel, a young woman bartender at a local pub, on the eve of his departure for an assignment. When Edge returns to Texas, he learns that Rebel was arrested for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, resulting in an indictment for murder.
This novel has a lot of substance in it. The author takes the time to develop her characters and there are several steamy scenes between Edge and Rebel. Also, a strong thread of suspense runs throughout the book as Edge and Rebel work to discover the origin of the threat to Rebel's life.
My reason for rating this book 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars? It is because there is a slight cliffhanger at the end of the book. To sum it up, the lack of closure on this issue does not affect the enjoyment I received in reading this story. This is a stand-alone novel, but the cliffhanger may play a part in the upcoming stories in this series. For adult content I recommend this story to adult readers.

Edge and Rebel's story was fantastic. She is accused of murdering a man who tried to rape her, however Edge and the Invincibles got her out of jail. She was released into the custody of Edge, who took his job seriously.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Outstanding Story .

I really enjoyed reading Edged . This story is full of suspense and intrigue . I found this a interesting story . Lucy (Rebel ) Marks sets out to avenge her mothers murder when she comes face to face with the killer . He attempts to rape her but Keon (Edge) Edgemon comes to her rescue . Before they can get to know each other Edge is call away on a mission for the Invincibles at which he is injured . He returns to Texas months later hoping to get to know Rebel better . He is shocked to find she has been arrested for murdering the man who attempted to rape her . Edge gets Rebel out on bail . He with the help from the Invincibles set out to prove her innocence and catch who committed the murder and set her up . Of course the chemistry between Rebel and Edge is smoking hot but Rebels life has not been easy and she has issue with trust . She has been taking care of herself for along time so Edge has lot of work to convince her to trust him and a relationship between them . Edge and the Invincibles must protect Rebel at all cost
I was pulled into this story from the start . I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy .

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Book of the Invincibles

Run, don't walk and grab this book. It does work as a standalone but you'll want Decked (Book 1) as well. This is a fast paced story about a guy and a girl but there is so much more. Edge met Rebel right before going on assignment. They have a spark but no time. He is delayed returning because he was wounded but now he's home and he's going to find that woman. Where he finds her is in jail, for murder. Rebel is determined to find out who is after her because she certainly didn't kill the dead man. Edge and Rebel will have to work together to save their lives and have a future.

Excellent story. The characters are well developed. They are "real". The situations that they find themselves in are real as well. There are twists and turns and an underlying menace that they'll have to work together to survive. The flow of the story is smooth, there are no slow spots and you'll fly through. Thoroughly enjoyable. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

Book number two of the Invincibles, Edged. Let me say I have not been disappointed and again as in book #1 Decked this is not a normal read for me but let me tell you Heather Slade is rapidly in the flow of changing my reading to adding some suspense with my reading of romance and etc. I thoroughly enjoyed this exciting read. This story is about Lucy “Rebel” and Keon “Edge” and is absolutely filled with suspense, drama, mystery, intensity, danger and romance. It is a story that will grab ahold of you and keep you on the edge of your seat right up until you discover you are on the last page and you haven’t put the book down. Rebel has an enemy! Can Edge keep Rebel safe till they can find who the enemy is? All I can say is wow I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it. I Cannot wait for more from this author looking forward to book number 3, in fact have a tentative date on my calendar to start looking for #3.
