I've been trying to keep my DNF's to a bare minimum, so I forced myself to suffer through this. It took me about a week of starts and stops. There are just so many issues. The fact that it's FIFTY-ONE CHAPTERS PLUS AN EPILOGUE, yet it only covers about a year (starts on Tyler's birthday, then his birthday comes around again in Chap 49). And by the way, one and a half pages does not constitute a chapter. Then there's the fact that Davey & Tyler have sex the very minute they meet, and this is how Davey loses his virginity. Just wow.
Davey and Tyler have the mentalities of preteens, especially with Tyler's almost ignorant level of jealousy, but their dialogue is like a couple of little old ladies at a farmer's market. The entire first half of the book is 50% repetitive sex, 50% too many details about motocross, which is why the story doesn't even become remotely interesting until sometime between chapters 35-40. There are simple typos, too many unnecessary characters/scenes/interactions, and absolutely no reason for Davey & Tyler to be in love, only deep lust. Overall, the story just dragged. I don't even know that I'm interested in the rest of the series.
