I purchased the first two books and enjoyed them but now the author just seems to be dragging it out. There is some element missing here... cant put my finger on it. Something that sets apart the great writers of fiction from the good writers of fiction. Im just not propelled into the fifth book. I may or may not purchase it in the future.

If this series were one or two books, I'd give them a 5 star rating. But it gets really tiring to read when each book lasts just a few chapters, then I have to wait several months and pay a few dollars for my next dose of this very addictive story.
Can't wait to read book 5. This set of books are a wonderful escape for the confines of Covid and for anyone home bound due to it. The day goes by quickly, and can't believe I am unable to put them down!
As always Rice gives us a story full of twists and turns. Ravin has finally taken the capitol. Lenore, Erin, and Odd are still looking for a way out. In his cowardly running Vars runs right into Ravins hands. Greaves has found the cure for Nerra but is blocked by Ravins warriors. Meanwhile Nerra has completely transformed and is now bonded to a dragon who plans taking the rest of the dragons and making war with humans. Everything is up in the air in the most delightful ways. What will happen next?
I just wish for once that one of this series of books finished on a high. I did not like this book as there seemed to be no way forward to a conclusion. However, I am happy to read the next book.
