I knew about the earthquake, but this book tells so much more than a news article ever could. The author also teaches some important facts. It is wrll worth the read.

I have visited “Quake Lake” and the events have always fascinated me. This account made me want to hear the others stories that are available out there.
5.0 out of 5 starsHow and what to do in an earthquake emergency.

Thank you so much Cynthia for writing this account of the Hebgen1959 Earthquake. It was interesting that you wrote it with the help of your Dad. It is rather chilling every time I read or hear about this Earthquake. I attended an emergency drill in my neighborhood in Farmington, Ut. yesterday morning April 14, 2018. We all had a paper on our doorstep that said we had just been through a 7+ earthquake during the night. There were a few jokes made, but you know I wasn't laughing because yes it really can happen. The information on Earthquake preparedness, what to do during and after a quake was excellent. Well worth the read! See you in Madison Canyon on the 60th anniversary of Trapped in Earthquake Canyon. Very well done! What a horrifying event to go through. The book is well done and full of emotion. It’s neat to see the parts written from the dad that were inserted in the book.
