4.0 out of 5 stars fun continuation and expansion of a fairy tale

What happens after the happily ever after?

That is question Author Armitage tries to answer in this entertaining and brief book. Following the daughter of the famous Sleeping Beauty, readers get to see more of the adult Sleeping Beauty nad Prince Charming - they're 3-dimensional, fleshed out characters.

The storyline moves quickly and the plot is a good one. The story is entertaining and over all too quickly. It is the first of 4 books.

I look forward to reading more in this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great start to a new fairytale retelling of Sleeping Beauty

I really enjoyed this tale. I have always loved the classic fairy tales and really enjoy creative retellings of the classic tales . This reimagined story shows us what happens after the happily ever after in the fairy tale of sleeping beauty. With this story we get to see Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming after true love's kiss. The story starts some eighteen + years after princess Aurora and her prince marry and have children. The couple have four children. Their oldest child and only daughter, Princess Azia Rose of Deacon, has just celebrated her eighteenth birthday. As heir to the kingdom her parents have decided she needs a husband to help take care of her and her kingdom. The royal couple have started to see signs that the dark magic that put Aurora might be returning to the kingdom. Princess Azia does not to marry. She would like to travel first and experience life before she has to marry. I am Looking forward to the next book to see what happens in the next installment of Princess Azia’s story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cliffhanger book

I do not enjoy cliffhanger books. My personal feeling is that if the author has to use cliffhangers to maintain an audience, they aren’t doing their job. That being said, the story could be quite interesting. The characters need more depth and fleshing out. Dialogue seems simplistic and definitely needs improvement. Right now, the story feels predictable. The series needs to be put into one book and sold that way. Will I read the next in the series? Maybe, maybe not.

Really really like the way this series has started. The world building is excellent and the storyline keeps you hooked the whole way through. This princess is bold, determined, and wants to live life before settling down. The trouble is her parents have decided she needs a husband to help take care of her and her kingdom. I would say it's good for mature teens on up. There's no adult content.

This is a short story about Sleeping Beauty after she married the king. It's good as far as it goes. Unfortunately it's not finished and ends with a cliffhanger.

This book was confusing, I couldn't figure out the storyline. Is she a dragon or what? Who is she marrying?

Took a chance since I love Sleeping Beauty and it’s retellings. Great concept since this is her daughter, has dragons and characters that make you want to get the rest of the series. Love that this is a long series that will cover lots of retellings thru out the year.

What a shock it would be to go from never had a boyfriend to two suitors. Dealing with boy problems and kingdom problems isn't most girls ideal 18th birthday. Looking forward to the next book to see what happens next.

5.0 out of 5 stars After the fairytale

This was a fantastic tale of life after the fairytale, about sleeping beauty's adopted daughter. The premice was exciting and the story engaging, which kept my interest to the end, the narration was excellent only enhancing the story, bringing it to life. Princess Azia's just turned 18, and despite her parents fairy tale romance her father has arranged a marriage to an old friend who hints at secrets being kept,
the dragons are agitated, and there unrest in the kingdom. I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait for the next one.

The first book in the Kingdom of Fairytales series, this is an expansion on the Sleeping Beauty fairytale, with the action taking place 18 years after their HEA. It's an enjoyable read, an interesting idea, and I'll be interested to read the next book and find out what happens next!
