4.0 out of 5 stars Another great psychological suspense story!

Another great addition to the Jessie Hunt Psychological Suspense Thriller Series. This was book #6.

Jessie Hunt, 29-year-old forensic profiler, is working through the LAPD with 31-year old Detective Ryan Hernandez. Both are recovering from injuries from their last case that put her on mandatory 1-week paid leave, with Ryan and other officers serving as her protectors.

When a second hotel killing strikes, but Jessie and Ryan are eager to get back to work. Against his better judgment, their boss, Captain Roy Decker, reluctantly agrees.

A beautiful 18-year-old girl is out to make the bad men of the city pay for treating women and girls like toys they can hurt and do with as they please. Alexis Cutter has had enough. Always wearing a different disguise, the cops haven't ID’d or caught her, not do they know what's behind the crimes. All that comes out in the wash.

Meanwhile, our charming serial killer, Bolton Crutchfield, is holding Jessie’s half-sister hostage in a basement and hoping to create her in his image. She has no desire to become a serial killer like him. Not even after he tells her her secret.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not nearly as good as the others

This particular book in the series seemed to be written according to some formula. Another case, this time with a prostitute with a grudge against abusive men - pretty standard fare. Then there's the sub-plot with Crutchfield which had very little action and no character development. Then the ending is action-packed but predictable and pretty unimaginative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow will it ever end for Jessie and Ryan

Good read from beginning to end. This story gave me a break from my other authors who write great love stories, from second chance romances to billionaires and how they find their great love and onto delving into the lives of Security Agents that are rich and how they find love. But reading about psychological suspense stories is very exciting, and Jessie Hunt is good. Blake is good at writing mysteries and I am a fan.
This the third story of Jessie hunt was good from beginning to end. I have gotten use to Jessie and Ryan getting hurt in the commission of trying to solve the murders. This one Jessie had to profile a lady killer who was drugging her victims and then choking them, the thing about it she had the look, piercing blue eyes beautiful figure but she always showed up in a different disguise. Then their was Crutchfield who was holding Hannah and a secret he promised to tell her. Crutchfield killed a pedophile, supposedly as part of the training of Hannah, thinking he could indoctrinate her to become his protege. I loved this story because it was entertaining, fast reading and had powerful cast of characters. Can't wait to read the rest of the stories.
