5.0 out of 5 stars Great information presented well

I am always tired and drained and honestly the last thing I thought would help was words on a page, but I am pleasantly surprised! This book covered some stuff that's pretty common sense like sleep hygiene, diet, and exercise but it expanded on the science with a sensible plain language approach that makes it more appealing to read. It also goes into the many factors for what's costing you energy both internally and externally and it's useful because some of these factors might not have eve occurred to you but it's plain as day when it's presented to you.

Beyond introducing the different factors that are positives or negatives for your energy (and breaking down the energy into divisions for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual) it explains the reasoning behind it very well and gives resources to correct them. The book starts off perfectly by talking about when you have no energy you're dividing by zero. I felt that in my bones! The rest of the book helps you stop dividing by zero and start putting gas in the tank.

It's like a summary of how to stay fit past 40. Stay away from refined carbs, hit high intensity interval training, take cold showers, limit coffee, eat fruits and veg. Don't drain energy by thinking about wardrobe. Done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tips on how to boost your energy

I enjoyed reading the book ‘Endless Energy’ by Peter Hollins. It is well-written, easy to read, and full of useful information.
The book gives you detailed and practical tips on how to boost your energy through adequate nutrition, sleep, exercise, and positive social relationships. It also emphasizes how you can manage your energy so as to prevent its waste by factors described as energy vampires. In particular I like the author’s explanation on:
- How to eliminate the paradox of choice by settling for the ‘good enough’ options
- Why you shouldn’t wait for motivation before starting action on whatever you need to do, and
- The pros and cons of too much dependence on coffee for your energy
People looking for ways to improve their energy will certainly have a lot to gain from reading the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive step to improve energy levels

This book cover many factors that work to lower energy levels, everything from mental, to physical, to even how choice can drain us of our energy and willpower. While there will be techniques and ideas that you've probably come across, this is the first book (that I've read) that really showcases them all, and gives the reader ideas of how they can implement them into daily life.

For anyone interested in learning about the practical wisdom of what energizes us, this is a wonderful and easy read. I love how all the mind and body basics are clearly explained by Peter Hollins. As a physician, I have found the science and studies mentioned in the book to be accurate. Peter has also synthesized the wisdom of other respectable authors as James Clear and Guise to present a comprehensive read. I’m thrilled to learn and apply the wisdom culled from this book , and plan to live a more fulfilled life. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, the answers I've been looking for in one bundle of pages

I've read a lot of self-help books in my long life of 75 years (so far) and there would be tidbits here and there that sang to me, but this whole book was an opera of no-nonsense but kindly imparted messages that made me understand the issues set forth in the title. There are now new expectations, but moreso, a hope to change my ways, patterns, and dang-hard-to-get-rid of bad routinized habits. Unfortunately, I didn't read it fast enough to start the New Year on Day 1 with this new-found energy. I will have to be satisficed (not a misspelling but a "theory") with Day 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just one little idea could change your life

I went into this book wondering if I already knew most of the info. However, I came away from the book with just the right ideas (and, more importantly, *actions!*) that will help me enormously in my work and my life.

The idea that helped me the most was getting rid of endless decision-making during my work (which has been draining me) and learning to mechanize that process.

Peter has a way of explaining things in a simple, illuminating way.

You have to ask yourself if it's worth a few bucks for ideas that could change your life. No brainer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Leider unbefriedigend

5.0 out of 5 stars The book I was waiting for

During the challenging COVID19 times I realised to work on my thought process, attitude and productivity. Intention was to make drastic improvements in frequency and quality of life accomplishments.

Sifted through best of the books on personal development with great insights. But thing I realised that was missing was energy and vigour to execute suggestions mentioned in those great books.

This book felt like a refreshing psychological massage connecting fragments of knowledge islands. It helped to rope in synergies and overall feeling of being incharge, packed with energy and a hope.

I wish this book would have happened to me earlier.
