This is my review of the audio version as posted on Audible:
It's a set of the first three books in the series, and it definitely makes me want to read/listen on...:)
All three books can be read/listened to as stand-alones though all are set in the same circle of friends and acquaintances, so we meet them over and over again and can follow the development of their relationships as the time passes by, which is a treat in itself. All three stories are quite fast paced, with characters that are likeable and plots that contain either a secret that has to be uncovered or an obstacle that has to be overcome on the way to the happily ever after.
Although the storylines are quite similar and predictable - she is at first unwilling to marry him and then he turns out to be the most amiable of men and a knight in shining armour who finally conquers her heart:) - it does not take away any pleasure from reading/listening, and the "mystery" parts are quite well done and even surprising at times:) Overall, it's a set that is definitely entertainig and relaxing, a great choice for cold winter nights.
Narration by Duke and Duchess DeFoix is very good. I liked them switching roles as the main narators as it followed exactly the narration pattern of the books - the male/female points of view alternating between chapters. I also liked most of the voices they did, with one or two exceptions when a female character sounded a bit too male (but it's only because the other ones were so well done that these felt a bit out of league...:)) Anyway, it's a great couple of narrators:)
