5.0 out of 5 stars Original. Very Captivating and Great Story

A very good book based on fate, destiny and courage. It teaches you good moral; shows you that in all the evil around us there are always those bound to do good. Elena and Amiran's love story is very intriguing and like the way the author put it all together. The book draws you in from the beginning and keeps you deeply engaged until the very end. You continue to wonder if they can pull through and overcome Schirra or if they will be caught. The story makes you sit on the edge until the end. Very sad story background but very real and original. The love story is very nice and in addition, it keeps you thinking how it would all come together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting scifi with an epic feel

This was an exciting scifi space adventure, with an epic feel. The stakes are high and the losses are great. But there's an underlying hope as the two main characters learn to trust in Atua and fight for freedom and peace. I enjoyed the book. It's a great read that's full of action, and a deeper feel than most scifi space operas out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful prose for a space drama
Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2019
A beautifully written story that immediately had me caring about the characters. A lot of the things that take place are while the main characters are not together but on separate journeys of their own. It is a complex story that spans years, a war, complex relationship, hardships, and determination to change things. Things are not solved easily or as you expect. A complex space saga. It made me think of literary fiction family sagas of Empires that covers lifetimes but also a little bit of star wars with the space dynamics thrown in. It was not what I expected but I did enjoy it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
