From the 1st page the story grabs your attention and doesn't let go. The characters are well developed and the storyline not only interesting but very relevant to those who bypass fake news to discover real news. The one problem I had with this book was the continuing use of what my father called $5 words. Too many words that seemed to need a dictionary to discover their meaning. The word Brobdingnagian is a prime example of a word that most wouldn't know and the phrase "coruscated in anticipation" is another example of rarely used words. This practice of using words most readers wouldn't know without looking them up did disrupt the flow and timing of the story. I am still looking forward to reading more from this author, hopefully without the dictionary by my side.
This isn't a perfect book, as it occasionally ran on a little and was just a bit too technical. On the other hand the rest of the books contents were nearly perfect. The characters, good or evil, were almost perfectly written. The action while heroics, were not super hero level, you could believe it happened. The final jewel in this masterpiece, was the incredible ending which left few questions unanswered. Simply put, one of the best books I've ever read.
This book and the previous 3 in the series are some of the best reading I have done in this genre - military-spy adventure. Thrilling but completely believable- especially if you have been in the military
