2.0 out of 5 stars Way OTT "romance"

Well if you want over the top, you have it with this novella. A quick, fast burn with a jealous possessive hero who, once he sees the heroine, falls immediately and madly in love.

An age-gap romance with an older hero and younger heroine, I found it to be an ok read but would have liked a bit more character development.

Again, be warned, this is way OTT - so much so that I almost found it funny (P.S. it is not meant to be humorous).

Written from a dual POV, this is a standalone with a HEA.

4.0 out of 5 stars Slightly unreal even if the payoff is amazing

My first story by Olivia Turner, had no idea what to expect.

In summary, Bree and her father run a failing restaurant financed by Cormac, head of the Boston Irish Mafia (cliche much). Through an act of either bravery or insanity, she becomes the "property" of the boss, and the story improves after that opening silliness.

The single compete erotic encounter is steaming and rather well detailed. The overall effect is a dark romance in the same vein as FSoG, without the external drama.

Recommended with slight hesitation due to the absurd opening.

I've never read this author before. Her story reminded me of Alexa Riley and Jenika Snow. It was short, hot, and sweet.

Holy S$$$!!!!! This book is my first read by this author and won't be my last. She knows her way around an alpha man and the closet way to make me swoon. I'm in love with her characters and I only want more. Smooth writing flow, story line was smooth and I could feel the heat from the characters in the writing. I must now read more. Get addicted and get this quick read. Loved it.

All of Olivia’s books are so spicy and entertaining. The obsession, romance, and insta-Love goodness is amazing. I wish we had a longer epilogue with interactions from the children.

What else is there to say?
Olivia T. Turner is the queen of OTT for a reason.
Mr. Connolly is over-the-top alpha and when he meets Bree, there's insta... everything.

Short and sexy, but I have to say it's not one of my favorites.

I’m pretty sure the author is a dude. Which is fine, but why lie?
Two stars because the writing flow needed help and repetitive words. Overall the story and characters were flat/2-dimensional.

4.0 out of 5 stars His Buttercop
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 27, 2019

I am new to Olivia T. Turners stories but I am fast becoming a fan.

Bree is trying to help her dad pay the bills and meet the loan payments to the infamous Mr Connolly, but they are behind and when two of his men turn up to collect their money things turn ugly leaving Bree with a black eye and a bruised cheek and her beloved father with two broken arms. Knowing she needs to help him out of the mess he has gotten them into she decides to go straight to Mr Connolly and offer to pay off the loan herself. Surely she can appeal to his better nature and get him to agree? But it appears that once he sees her he has a different idea entirely.

Cormack Connolly one of the most feared men around was talking to his top two enforcers when Bree arrives in a yellow dress reminding him of a buttercup and he falls for her straight away. There is only one way that she can pay off her fathers loan and he is determined to claim her but he doesn’t want her for just a day oh no she he wants forever.

This is fun quick read of an over the top alpha in the extreme and a sweet young girl trying to look after her father. Great quick read although I honestly would have liked this to be longer but I cannot wait to read more from this author.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok read.

Absolutely loved the first half of this book they both fell in love as soon as they met. I loved how obsessed Cormac was with his Buttercup. The problem I have was the second half of the book it was nothing more than sex it could of been so much more he was head of the Mafia a little danger would have been good.

An Irish mob boss that shows no mercy, never threatens, always follows through, gets blindsided by what he now refers to has his "buttercup." Intensely erotic, fated mates, the villain turns hero/saviour for just his "buttercup," and it all leads to an HEA! This story reminds me of the OTT that I first became addicted to, and Ms. Turner should re-read this work so she can continue to write this way.
