Coach Trammell was murdered in the last book and thus this book picks up where Lily and Belle are selling his townhome. The house was left to his sister and she wants to sell it and use the money made to provide scholarships for needing students from the local school. The problem is people are not happy to see the price war occurring between buyers cause they don’t want their community growing. But is it really that or something else? As Lily schedules an open house, someone vandalizes the house, not once but again. Lily is targeted as the “one” who wants to change the community and thus she is the scapegoat to all things. What will happen to the house? To Lily? Any why won’t she pick a date for the wedding to Dylan? Then there is the Women of Society Club with all their secrets. They know what’s going on but not saying a word. Who is doing all the vandalizing? Why? This was a fun, cute, and clean read. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to put it down. The characters were wonderful. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
4.0 out of 5 starsThere's more drama to selling a town house than you would think.

When a town-home unit comes up for sale in the new mixed-use development in Bramblett county. There is a fierce bidding war for the unit. Some of the upper-crust natives who don't want the progressive community in town get their backs up and protest causing problems for Lily Spayberry. When she goes ahead and list the property anyway, the unit becomes vandalized to prevent the sale.
Someone is out to make sure that this property doesn't sale unless it's under their own agenda. We have a host of suspects, including four snooty society ladies, a wealthy developer, and even a possible mob connection.
This is a fun story that has some humor, some cranky but hilarious elderly people, and enough twist to keep you guessing what the ending will be.
The late Coach Trammell’s sister is giving the money from the sale of his townhouse back to the local school for scholarships. Everyone should be thrilled and hope to see the house sell for a huge amount. Not so. The house keeps getting horribly vandalized and Lily is getting terrorized. Lots of action and lots of humor keep you hooked to find out what’s really going on. Wonderful characters return (Lily, Bo, Belle, Dylan, Matt, Bonnie, Henrietta, and Mille) and we meet some new ones. A great mystery and can’t wait to read more of Lily’s adventures (hint - wedding!)
Great book! I love reading about Lily, Belle, Dylan, and their charming Georgia town. Lily has listed former lacrosse coach, Carter Trammell's, townhouse in the multi-use development and it suddenly starts a bidding war. Some of the local people are unhappy with growth coming to the town. When Lily's open house is forced to be delayed due to vandalism, she is set out to find out what is going on. Later a local woman who had been against Lily disappears and Lily's kitchen is set on fire. She has to catch a killer now. Such enjoyable characters and storylines! Excited to read the rest of this series!!
I have read four of Lily Sprayberry’s mysteries and I love not only the plot but especially the picture these books give of the life in a little town in Georgia. I can’t help loving the two ladies Bonnie and Henrietta, the faithful and sweet dog Bo and the two inseparable friends Lily and Belle.... Can’t wait to read the next one!
I adore Lily and her dog Bo, and of course Lilys best friend Belle. The storylines in these books are captivating with suspense at times and laughter at other times. It is so interesting that I can't stop reading too the last line on the last page. Bravo for this series and I can't wait to read more books!
No real characters in this one. Waste of time and eyesight. Glad it was short. Miss Caroline probably wrote it in a couple of weeks to meet her word quotas
I really enjoyed Bidding War Break In. This book is entertaining and fun. I like the characters. I love Lily more with each book in the series. She is strong and has spunk. The characters are quirky and humours. The mystery is interesting and suspenseful. It has many twists. I will be looking to read the next book in the series.
