this was wonderful. Two people trying not to find someone for different reasons do but struggle with their feelings. One out of fear of having her heart breaking and being left behind, the other trying not to get close because of his career.

Alex is a caring and sweet man. A doctor who has a trusting nature and that draws people to feel safe when he is treating them. He meets Julia and Ava and can’t get them out of his mind. Over time even though he thinks living in a small town isn’t great, he begins to come around. He helps the people and volunteers to help out with people. He works hard to help the people and he fell in love with Ava. He also fell in love with Julia. But Julia keeps pushing him away. She keeps thinking he will leave. She doesn’t trust. No matter how much he is continuously is there for here she doesn’t trust him. Even after he tells her he loves her she walks away not trusting him. It takes a big whammy for Julia to realize he means it. He is willing to give up so much and be away from his grandma whom he loves more than anything to be with her and yet she doesn’t believe him. The gesture it takes for her I hope made her feel guilty. She almost lost him because of her fears.

Julia is a good person. I am not as enthralled with her as Alex. I think that is because Alex is the one who keeps giving. Who keeps growing and becoming a more caring and wonderful man. Who is willing to open his heart to love and do everything for love. Julia will do anything for family and friends but when it comes to Alex she is standoffish. She worries about what others will think. Than it is that Alex will be leaving. When he tries to stop that thought she doesn’t believe him so although she is a good character she didn’t grab me like Alex did. We didn’t see as much growth in her as we did Alex.

The story is sweet and a wonderful read about love and family. About friends and being there no matter what. About healing and finding what you are missing in life and grabbing it by the horns before it is to late.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming, feel great story!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. Jana Richards has written wonderful feel great story! You will see so much character development in Alex and Julia. Both are caring and loving people. Alex is married to his job as a doctor. Julia was devastated when her husband abandoned her and their daughter. To put it mildly Alex and Julia's first meeting didn't go well. I love how living in a small town gives them so many ways to interact. But the fact that he plans to leave after his two year contract is up, Julia refuses to give her heart to him. For many reasons, she can't leave Lobster Cove! The supporting characters including her daughter, Ava, are so endearing.

Lisa Woods does an awesome job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. She gives the characters distinctive voices which brings them to life. I enjoyed listening to her.

I highly recommend this Audible book. It is so heartwarming!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun light read.

**I was sent this book from the author for an honest review. This review is based on my opinion.**

I am all for second chances, and women who are scared of those second chances. Come on we have all been there, so reading Julia’s and Alex’s story I understood a little bit what they are going through. Julie has been hurt, her ex husband left her for a woman IN JAPAN. Not only though did he leave Julia but her daughter Ava, and Julie never wants to put Ava or herself through that pain again.

Alex is only in Lobster Cove for a 2 year contract to have some of his debt paid off. He can’t wait for California weather and to be back close to his Nona. He isn’t looking for love, but when he meets Ava and Julie he falls, and falls hard. He would do anything for Julie, even staying in Lobster Cove.

Julie refuses to give up life up again for a man, she’s already been burnt there once. She tries to stay away from Alex and her growing feelings for him, but she finds it harder and harder, and Ava is slowly falling in love with Alex too. Can Julie put aside her fears and be with Alex? Or will Alex leave everything behind in Lobster Cove? Including Julie.

I LOVED this book. There wasn’t a thing in it that I would change. The relationship we grow with the characters and residents of Lobster Cove makes us feel as if we are apart of it all. Julie was by far my favorite. She is so spunky and such an aspiring woman. I didn’t like the way she cared so much what people thought of her, that tended to grate on my nerves, but I could deal.

Alex was amazing and the way he is with Ava. AH. We all want a man who will love not only us but our children as well, and Alex went above and beyond.

This is a series that I can’t wait to get more of!
