If you have read the first book in this series, you probably have an idea of what I mean by "epic Patrick." He gets himself into way much danger and he doesn't play in the minor leagues when it comes to the bad guys. I feel for Jono and all that he has to deal with when it comes to Patrick and danger.
This book is great. It gives Jono more time in the spotlight and we see how he and Patrick are working together and dealing with their connection. I liked getting his take on the local God Pack and how he handles a threat to the independent shifters in the city.
Patrick still thinks before he acts, but his friends are slowly teaching him to think things through, ask for help, and to rely on them. This is huge for Patrick. With a everything that happens in this book, I'm happy that he has his connections. I love how much honor both guys have and that they don't take promises lightly.
I will be waiting impatiently for book 3. Read this series.
