1.0 out of 5 starsHow to pick a boring book with minor reference to the title description.

Take two somewhat interesting characters and put them into a situation where all they seem to do is walk around, argue and get betrayed. Add possibly the most poorly written villain that I have encountered in a long time and you have a story that is significantly less interesting than the book's title and cover art.

This is the first book in the series following Duke LaGrange. Lagrange and his silent certified sidekick Ishiro'shea are off on a new adventure and get pulled into a fight they don't really care to be involved in. Jay Key's characters are an entertaining balance of heroism and sarcasm. The book was entertaining. Now I just need my own drunken space ninja sidekick.
I bought this because I thought it sounded funny....And it was. I had a hard time getting into the first couple of chapters. Then the excitement started and it was hard to put down. Lots of action, laughs, no sex. I don't normally buy male authors, but this one was very entertaining. Highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 starsDon't let the title fool you That was a lot of fun

It takes a bit to get into the story, but it is so very worth it. Well developed characters, a solid plot, and good action make for an enjoyable read. Duke and Ishiro’shea start in a bar, nothing new.... and then the story takes a turn. I was skeptical at first but this was well worth the time. Fun, adventure and a well built story made the time fly.

Jay Key's first installment of the Duke LaGrange trilogy is a delightful galactic romp that will deliver you lightyears away from wherever you set down to read. Full of adventure and driven by clever, fast-paced dialog, the book is a heartfelt homage to comic sci-fi classics such as Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy while establishing its own winking irreverance that builds to a truly unique effort. It's a must read for fans of the genre, or anyone looking for some hilarious escapism.
