I haven't read many sports romance books, but I thought this one was fantastic. The characters were so believable and real. I loved the story line and romance in this book. It has some steamy parts, but it doesn't consume the whole book and the story itself can stand on its own, which I find rare in romance novels. I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read more from this author.
Lauren just got a divorce and her life seemed to be crumbling around her, when she returns home from seeing her dying father. To make matters worse, she can't find her dog, who was supposed to be at the kennel but her ex husband never dropped him off. When she finally does find him with a sexy quarterback, she never expected to have to go to court to get her dog back. With a fair ruling from the judge, this unlikely match is thrown together.
Griff Montgomery is the star quarterback of the Kings but he's also quite the womanizer. He has a girl in just about every town they play. He's ready to settle down and find the right woman to build his life with, but when he finds her she says she doesn't want to marry. Not exactly a match made in heaven, or is it?
