The writing was solid. If you are in the mood for an entertainment romance than this is good. The story had its moments but honestly I had trouble with a few things.

Sophia was great and I liked seeing her gain confidence enough to fight for her career and even her relationship. The problem I had was Dana.

Dana was older. The supposed professional. The experienced lesbian but she was so wishy washy. She kept dragging it out with her ex. She seemed to want to just sit back and enjoy the two women that where interested in her fighting over her. She was blaise about sophia getting outed and was like why is she really upset it's 2019? As if that's supposed to make a difference for a woman just coming to terms with her sexuality and was just forcefully brought out. Such a public figure as well. Dana seemed not all that good at her job or experienced in relationships. It's the decade younger baby lesbian who has to do all the work. Her character just didn't work for me and so their relationship just didn't work for me. But the writing is solid so if your bored.

Wow, I think this is one of the first Georgia Beers books that did absolutely nothing for me. Both main characters were frustrating and not in a good way. Dana, have the stones to stand up for yourself and say no. Sophie, you ate a complete adult. Stop dwelling on the past. I’m glad you finally stood up for yourself, but that was after almost an entire book of you not.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sweet love story with a side of heat

I can see what some of the reviewers meant by not having a fully fleshed out ending here. However, I’m pretty happy with this book by Beers. I think it’s better than her two latest releases and I had no trouble becoming invested in each of the main characters.

I always love books about someone with some major talent and it’s clear that beyond just singing, Sophie is an artist.

Dana has a good head on her shoulders. Except when it comes to her ex. I understand not taking your best friends advice but at that age and all she’s been through, I felt she was smarter then to get so wrapped up in what she knew wouldn’t be her future.

Really wish that we had a scene of Sophie meeting Dana’s best friend Anya. I felt they would’ve gotten along.

— One con, sometimes characters called her Sophia? That was confusing for me. Even in the epilogue Dana called her Sophia after calling her Sophie the whole book. Possibly a typo.

This author always delivers!
Great writing as always. Dual POV. Sweet story, which keeps your interest. Great characters, who may be too good to believe at times but have you rooting for them as if they're very real:b What else is there to say...practically no angst, which I personally love. Loved all the side characters and didn't get bored with their interactions with the mains but the story focuses mainly on the building romance between the mains, which again is what I love:)

There aren't words enough to explain how much I liked this book. Knowing Georgia wrote it was the first hint i would like it. She has away with characters and emotions. I couldn't put the book down until I finished it. Great one added to a long list. Look forward to your next.

Seeing the feelings play out between the two main characters was entrancing. I loved how the supporting cast enhanced the rivalry and the feelings each of the main characters had for themselves and for each other.

I love GB. I know she can write quality books, and was so excited to see another one available. However, this is kind of a none story. It lacks all the drama and depth that she is capable of (think Too Close to Touch). It's a very quick read, with not much going on and GB's writing style seems to have changed a little, it's all a bit too fluffy. That's about it really. I would rather wait the extra time for something with a little more oopmh! Come on Georgia, you can do it!

Georgia’s last few books have been just slightly missing the mark for me, well I think she has returned to form with this latest one.
I enjoyed the characters of Sophie and Dana, particularly the growth and development of Sophie into more of an independent women. I really liked the secondary best friend characters and even Laura. The story flowed well with just enough emotional drama for my liking. All in all another great delivery by Georgia!
