5.0 out of 5 starsThis book is the best self help advice.....period

Rule #1-I never do this-although I am a writer for some reason I hate writing book reviews. But seriously-when a book this amazing comes out-I am breaking my rule.
Rule #2 broken “This one of the best books I have ever read“ Nails on a chalkboard usually when someone says this to me, but it really is. I swear-this is literally cliff notes to a 100 of the best self help seminars without having to have bad coffee and a name tag sitting next to strangers.
Rule #3 broken- When my friend sent me this book, I told him it was nothing personal but I would just share my thoughts with him privately. Alas, I am posting on Facebook which is about as private as an engagement announcement at a major sporting event. Roger-this is such a tribute to your work and how you change lives.
Rule #4 broken- Quoting books on a regular basis. It usually seems rehearsed and frankly not authentic to me. But truly think there will be one person who needs to hear a message from this book that will change their perspective. I plan to send out regularly.
Truly-this book is an essential and will go on my bookshelf that is reserved for favorites-books that I will refer to often. Wish I would have had this years ago!
It's a sleeper in that while this book seems short and simple it delivers legit wisdom in a structured, efficient way. I read most of this eight months ago and after rereading now surprised to realize how many thoughts and actions this book seeded in my daily activities. Had forgotten but this book had even directly suggested some of the authors I read last year. If you don't have time for a 700 page Tim Ferriss ego trip this is the much more humane way to go.
Bo, (not my real name) is now taking fish oil religiously, started an exercise routine enjoyed after the first 5 minutes, never looking at the time again in the middle of the night and have a new perspective on "small talk". :)
Dr. Hall's book was both informative and entertaining to read, with ah-ha moments and very timely reminders. This book is easily applicable and inspirational, touching on the areas of life which need to be mindfully managed to ensure optimum success.

I’ve know Dr. Hall for about 25 years and his work and teaching has had a significant impact on my life. I highly recommend this book. It will open up pathways of understanding into how our minds and bodies work, and how to make course corrections that will lead to greater joy and higher performance. The writing style is also very accessible and enjoyable. I read it in one day! Great resource for us as individuals, and as a teaching resource for parents.
