5.0 out of 5 stars Don’t judge a wolf by his coat color!

*I won’t go into much actual book detail for the purpose of avoiding spoilers.*
Last but not Leashed was the first book in the MRC/ body count series that I picked up. I’m so happy I did!
This novella is fast paced, humorous, and silly (in a great way)! She packs enough worldbuilding, character development, & witty comments to help you relax after a day at the office! I really enjoyed the female lycanthropes having a more dominant role. It’s different from every other shapeshifter- based stories I’ve read. And I’ve about seen them all.

I love the writing in this series [A magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count)]. I am scooping up all of this series. I started with Burn, Baby, Burn. OMG! I couldn't stop! More! I want wore! I will not spoil your fun. This is a blast of a series. Humor, romance, adventure, paranormal ( I mean REALLY PARA-normal) and good writing. What more could I want (or you for that matter?!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny - like always

Any book in this series is a hit for me, though I have to ingest them in small doses. It’s rollicking, hilarious and ripe with expansive world building that literally tries to twist the mind. Like the others, this is fade to black and perfectly “clean” - which, as a devout romance reader, is a touch annoying to me, but eh? What can you do? They are funny enough and so wit infused, I can’t resist.

5.0 out of 5 stars My stomach hurts from laughing 😂

I am normally not a fan of cliffhangers, even small ones, but this one makes up for it, by having me laugh so much and so hard, that my stomach needs a break. Maybe my stomach will have stopped hurting from laughter by the time, the sequel comes out.

Dale and Ethel

Wow! This was a great start! A good book and better beginning to a series! I can't wait to read more about Dale, will be ever meet any of his genetic contributors? Will Ethel's Grandma meet Dale? Who was behind the attack on Mr. Jones? Can Dale do anything extra?

Please continue your fun and games in this series! You brought laughter and fun into my day with this delightful story!

I absolutely LOVED this novella! I have enjoyed each RJ Blain book I have read (all she has written so far) and all her books are an auto-buy for me. This novella was great fun, with lots of wit, laugh out loud moments, and the hope of seeing ALL these characters again. Loved both the h and H - absolutely can NOT wait to see more of the parents - elves, wolf shifters, and just plain lots of fun. Highly recommended!

This could totally have been an epic novel of the Water Viper length but as a novella it's a really good addition to the MRC lineup! Funny, well rounded characters, decent plot and more than enough hook to lead info whatever story RJ Blain cooks up next. I buy every new book of hers though, they're all fantastic reads!

Got it today. Read it today. Enjoyed the ever loving hell out of it today. Two enthusiastic thumbs up, would read again. Only complaint is that it was short for an RJ Blain book, but there is a statement I intend to take as a promise indicating more, related books. And I am excited, yo.

4.0 out of 5 stars A slice of crazy

These books are mainly dialogue driven which makes the story move very fast. They are irreverent and snarky with very little bad language, sex or violence. They are very cleverly written and the world the author has created is a very interesting one. Really enjoyable.

Another fantastical trip through the bizarre world of R. J. Blain, where gorgons, vampires, pixies, angels, elves, and lycanthropes of all persuasions live and interact in the most unexpected ways.
