I just spent the last few hours reading Isaiah's Story. I wept through several of the chapters, as the author takes us on a journey through the excruciating events that led to the loss of her precious son, Isaiah. Although I know the author in real life, and have had the privilege of walking with her through part of her grief journey, my heart ached as I felt I was experiencing those harrowing moments with her, moments filled with impossible circumstances and heartbreaking goodbyes. This is a beautifully told story, one that honors God and the life of Isaiah, a little boy who lived a short time, but touched many in his brief life. And, it's the story of the love from a mother's heart. After reading, I am even more honored to know Isaiah, and his beautiful mother. As one who walks with many grieving hearts, I would recommend this book to others who are grieving the loss of a child. There is great comfort in knowing that we do not walk alone. Isaiah's Story testifies that even in the darkest circumstances, God is there to carry us and comfort us.
