3.0 out of 5 starsDragon's Not Rising to fullfillment

It was OK, not the best writing. Like the premise of an Empire hiding a dark past, a entire race wiped out by men, another group of men trying to bring back the lost race. But the writing drags at times. The main character doesn't grow very fast. He has awesome powers and won't take responsibility for any humans or pick a side until he meets a little girl. Then his humanity starts to glimmer. But unlike Gary Darby's Hooper's Dragons series, where I couldn't wait to start reading, I found myself slogging through the story.
this series of books is pretty good, story line is great and the books hold your interest, this latest part of the story has introduce some new happenings that have the possibility of making the series even better, already pre ordered the next book, keep them coming.

All I can say is WOW! I've just finished book 3 and can't wait to start the 4th book. Fezarn is the lead character, at first he is a selfish, self serving man. I almost didn't want to read the 2nd book, but by the end of the 1st book it was so good I couldn't wait for the next book. If you like high adventure and great character development you will love these books as much as I do.
Fes is a wonderful main character and the excellent world building continues in book 3. I like that we're still learning along with Fes about the dragons and their history and that not everything is as he believed it to be.
