Very expensive for the quality. Can’t believe I spent $15 on this. I got this for my kindergartener who is having a rough time being ok with making mistakes. Several of the phrases in the book went over his head and also the references to David Beckham and Van Gogh left him a bit confused. He seemed to focus more on all the words and phrases he didn’t understand than focus on the message trying to get across that mistakes are ok. I’m guessing if this is for a slightly older child it wouldn’t be as problematic. If it cost $5 I wouldn’t be so annoyed, but given that it’s a fairly expensive paperback book, I am left feeling disappointed.
My six year old says that her favorite part was that she sometimes pouts like the dragon when she doesn’t get it right. She said that when you make mistakes it’s good because you learn not to make them again. You have to practice and fix it and do it again and try not to pout. You have to try your best and it doesn’t have to perfect.

These are so well written and really help introduce topics like anger or mistakes in a non-confrontational way. Plan to buy more of this series! Both my neurotypical child and non-neurotypical child loved it.

In my social skills class, my students and I have been doing a unit on perseverance. This book, as well as "I Got This," really helped my students understand that they too can do hard things. They love Diggory Do and frequently ask me if I'll get other books about him.
I have adopted three children from the system. All of them came with behavior issues. I’m hoping reading these books will help. I like how they rhyme too. Very well written with good artistry. My only disappointment was that you could not buy them all as a set. Only in Kindle version. It cost a lot to get all of them with no discount.
