2.0 out of 5 starsTangled Web of Facts

Nothing like I expected. The book is a tangled web of facts that do not flow into a story. I am sorely disappointed. The author is very well-Informed but needs help translating facts into a readable treatise that is interesting to the audience. Very hard to follow as each chapter crosses up the last ones.

This book is a well researched history of the Land Run in Indian Territory, which would later become Oklahoma. Born and raised in Oklahoma City I learned so much information that I did not know of my native state. The author did an excellent job of describing the conflicts among cattlemen, boomers and the railroads over control of land rights. You will also learn about the the early days of Oklahoma City and its development. The maps and photos in the book were an added bonus to my reading. I highly recommend this book.
