4.0 out of 5 starsSeriously?!?!

Edge of your seat excitement with this tale. This book is so good. I absolutely love the good guys and absolutely love to hate the bad ones. The chemistry between Ruadan and Arianna is very sexy. Ciara's character just became much more interesting. My only, and I mean only complaint is the over usage of the word snarled again in this book. This is the snarlingest bunch of characters I have ever read. C.N. Crawford, please pick a new word or at least mix it up a little. Otherwise, I will have nothing but good things to say about this series and I will definitely be recommending it to others. The ending though....seriously?! When will the next book be done?

I liked Court of Shadows enough to purchase this sequel. I'm not familiar with the Shadow Fae world but this two-book spin-off is fine as a stand-alone read. Very well written and well paced, with an imaginative, fast moving plot. I enjoyed the progression of Arianna and Ruadan as a romance, without needing a forced HAE ending.
I could easily envision Ariana strutting away from the throne room, making her mental checkmark of "that's one in MY column." I had to laugh at that one! I may pick up some of the other books in the Shadow Fae series to see what they're like.
Portalling, sexual mention, strong lead females, this book has them all. I didn't expect it to end this way. I certainly didn't see some of this coming. These authors offer clean well written books and keep you turning the pages as fast as you can get them read. I would like to see another book come from this one to see how things turn out with an unkillable character.
I can’t get over how the front cover looks! It is soo pretty and soft feeling. But anyway after Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Mass was released and I loved every bit of it, I needed a book hangover. I came across this series and I LOVE IT. Perfect read right after a very long series that I die for. C.N. Crawford does an amazing job with all of her books!
4.0 out of 5 starsSolid entry into four book series

This book continued the story from book 1. It has a definitive story line. This book has a main plot which resolves by the end. Some mysteries about the main characters are revealed to the reader (yay). The overall story arc continues on to book 3. I have read other series in this world and am not disappointed in this one. I did wait until the entire series was available before starting. Definitely read these in order.
I loved this series. The sexual tension between Ruadan and Arianna - off the chain! Ciara evolving into something much more interesting - I didn't see that coming. It's an excellent read BUT I absolutely HATE cliff-hangers. AND I'm not sure there will be a next book in the series - which means none of my questions get answered: 1) What is Arianna's association with the Horseman of the Apocalypse - Death? 2) Will Ruadan and Arianna hook up? 3) What exactly is Arianna? 4) How will Ruadan respond to what she is? 5) Where does Ciara's story go? I could go on and on but I HOPE that there is at least one additional book planned for this series ...
I enjoy fiction. Fantasy, magic, super natural, all appeal to me. I don't read to get educated, I read for enjoyment. I like to read about strong people who come out winners. Good verses evil and wins. I also like Nora Roberts and her JD Robb books.

This book picks up perfectly, right after the first one. Arianna is on a mission to prove to herself that she can do this. But it seems like every trial someone tries to kills her but fails miserably. Her and the Wraith work well together and the sexual tension is threw the roof. Can’t wait to see what comes next

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! After the last series of books which were a fabulous series and probably some of C N Crawford’s best work to date I wasn’t expecting this new book to even compare in the slightest but how wrong I was!!!!! An amazing new heroine with some wonderful and diverse Characters plus cameo appearances of well-loved people from other books set in the same world. Yet again this book although set in the same worlds manages to capture the imagination in a new way and adds another dimension to a world that we already know and love, everything is easily visualised, and you are drawn in to the storey from the first few pages. I was hooked with the first book, drawn in even further with the second boo and an impatiently waiting for the third instalment. This is a series that I will happily read again when the next book comes out to maximise the enjoyment.
I couldn't put it down. Arianna has such a sassy way about her the comments she comes out with make me laugh. I loved the action definitely on the seat of your pants. Caira that was not expected what a twist brilliant. I really hope that you write another book please as I still don't know what Arianna is and it's driving me nuts. Would definitely recommend this book and the author's work
