Cassidi an Gia are as lovable as ever in this next installment. I couldn’t put it down for long. Just had to see what twists and turns would dazzle this reader. I was not disappointed. Waiting happily for the next book. I absolutely love how all of Danger Cove’s characters and even writers show up in each book. More. More. More.

My two favorite Danger Cove series are the renovation and hair salon. In this book I got both worlds. Traci did an amazing job weaving Alex and George into the story to give their story some much needed closure. We get to meet the New Jersey Italian side of the family and finally out what happened to Uncle Vinnie. A fun read for these cold winter days.

This is a great addition to the Danger Cove series. I really enjoy the characters and storylines. Its a treat when past characters show up or when you read about a minor character in the next book

5.0 out of 5 stars More trouble for the ladies of the Sip and Curl!
Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2019
I love the entire Danger Cove Mysteries Collection of books. The way each book first introduces you to the residents and businesses of Danger Cove and then builds on each throughout the series makes you feel like a town resident. Each book has its own murder that is wrapped up by the end of the story making each book possible to be read out of order. However, I enjoy following the books in order to get to know the residents and businesses better as the mysteries unfold.
In this book we are back at the town brothel turned Salon, the Sip and Curl owned by Cassidi and Gia. Cassidi inherited the building from her Uncle Vinnie the local crook involved in mob casinos, drug dealing and supposedly the owner of hundreds of thousands of dollars hidden inside his building. His partner in crime Jesse has been murdered before the renewal ceremony with his love Katrina. The girls are onsite to get the two photo ready. After being deemed suspects and outed in the morning paper it’s time for the girls to solve this case.
This is a great example of using the Sip and Curl, and the girls in previous books. We have a broader understanding of the storyline, characters and the nuisances surrounding these characters, making for an even better reading experience. Besides, you have to meet Gia. She is an absolute riot!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Is a Smokey Eye to Die for? Yes! And so is the latest from Traci Andrighetti!
Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2019
Traci Andrighetti’s latest Danger Cove mystery answers the age-old question— or maybe it’s the new age question— “Is a Smokey Eye to die for?” While a Smokey eye—or a Smokey lip ( new one for me!) may or may not be to die for, the latest mystery at the Clip-and-Sip most definitely is! As readers have come to expect from author Traci Andrighetti, this latest book is a terrific blend of humor, suspense, mystery, & a little sizzle. Cassidi, the owner of the brothel-turned-salon with homemade liquer service, is being tormented by the Gold Rush Tours stopping in, with her nemesis Harriet playing up every scandalous moment of her Painted Lady’s past (readers will remember the deal made in the last Clip-and-Sip book that allowed these tours in, but new readers shouldn’t fear. Andrighetti gives enough info for new readers to understand without boring loyal fans). But it’s not just the personal torture of re-living the salon’s salacious history that’s getting to Cassidi- Harriet’s tours are causing her to lose customers. Coming to Cassidi’s aid are her cousin & “employee,” Gia, their friend, Amy, & their significant others. A plan is hatched to remodel, bringing in Alex Jordan, Danger Cove’s favorite contractor, and a tribute to the Christina A Dodd (Secret of the Painted Lady). Alex also spends fine of her evenings with Danger Cove’s florist. Alex makes a revelation that brings Cassidi & Gia back to the local police station to discuss the investigation into Cassidi ‘s uncle’s death. That visit turns into an opportunity for a side job for a wedding vow renewal that seems too good to be true— just when they need money for renovations, they are offered a big payday. Of course, things never go quite as planned, & the game is on!
This cozy mystery is full of surprises, with unexpected twists, hilarious visits, & the hallmark of Traci Andrighetti’s work— smarts & heart. One of my main “criteria” for a top review in a series book is whether it can be a stand-alone, & this one can. A new reader can start here, & understand all the plot lines with the background given. But, if you haven’t read the other Danger Cove Beauty Parlor Books, you will want to do so now! Read Killer Eyeshadow & love every minute. The only problem is I never want these books to end.
