Michael Anderle and Hylton can write a wicked story. Intreague humor, adventure, and gritty characters are in abundance in this series of books. Love it all.

Ok so I chose the rating as the books are easy to read , the character's are sassy and and grow over the four books there is no adult content to ruin the book and they actually have great story ,the books flow into each other without a lot retelling of the previous book in the next of the series
Very interesting, intriguing, and thought provoking. It takes a lot of imagination to pull of something this intriguing. Once you start you need to keep going just to see what's going to happen next. Enjoyed ever minute now on to number four.
This was a fun series in Michael Anderle's universe. This series is part of the age of magic era. The characters were well drawn, the action fast paced, and the stories interesting enough that I read all four books in a single go.
The last book was published in 2017 and I hope the authors get around to dropping the next book soon.
One of the things that I liked the best about the books was that they were not so littered with profanity that it became a distraction. If you've ever read any books in Anderle's universe, most are laced with profanity. a 10 word sentence may have 7 cuss words. Now I'm not opposed to cussin'. In can add verisimilitude in the right context. However, many books in Anderle's universe are like a kid that keeps telling knock-knock jokes long past when they are funny. The first book its funny. The second ok. By the 5th book it just becomes a distraction. For that reason, I often abandon books in an Anderle series when the story is otherwise good. Not so in this series.
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole set. Loved the action, the interaction between characters, the lack of heavy blood and gore descriptions. Wonderful writing. Gracias to both writers. Now to read more about the Kurtherian world!
