5.0 out of 5 starsFantastical series
Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2018
The story keeps getting better. At times it dragged a bit and I would love it to come to a head now, but my goodness - a lot of revelations and surprises in this book to keep you fascinated. All the queens are starting to come into their power now and I expect a big bang in the next installment. So many interesting characters from the faie and the human world are coming to the fore. Hopefully we also get more information on what happened in the past for the other characters - Finn's story I have been able to paste together now.

Well written with a strong story line that is woven well through out the series. Yet not too complicated if one pays attention... which takes real talent. I noticed myself, especially reading this book, (that I am so happy I preordered by the way!) starting to read slower the closer I neared the end .... Like I could magically make it stretch a few chapters longer. It is that good : ))
I thought this series was the best I have read in years. Even better than Terry Brooks and that is saying a lot. I read fantasy all the time. Could not put these books down and I am in my 60s. I had all five read within a few days. I hope the author keeps this series going for a really long time. Love it. Only downside, I have to wait for the next one. She is one talented author.
5.0 out of 5 starsA woman headstrong enough to RIGHT HER wrongs and punish the people who punished her and others wrongly...

I LOVE how she evolved from a living tree TO a graceful person who truly felt sorry for the wrongs she had forced upon a whole line of people who actually didn't do anything wrong. They were SET up same as herself..But SHE was strong enough IN the END to RIGHT the wrongs and SET everything up for the correct people to suffer...
4.0 out of 5 starsThe Tree of Ages continues the richly woven saga of Finn
Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2018
This installment of the Tree of Ages series, certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat as Finn continues her quest to find herself and protect her growing circle of friends. She continues to mert new and quixotic characters who expand the dimensions of her multi-tiered universe. The forces of good and evil become more clearly delineated, but she continues to be unsure of many of her accomplices' ultimate loyalties. While I was pleased to discover that this is far from the final installment of the series, I hate having to wait an undetermined amou nt of time for the next chapters to become available!

Another good book in this series that has Finnur and her friends battling great evil and has added new elements to this adventure. Good story, good world building, well made characters, action, magic, adventure and romance. Highly recommend this series. Cannot wait to read more of Finn and her friends whether they be human or not.
I always keep the last 🌟star in hopes for something better. While the book 3 left me giddy and excited, book 4 has me bothered and pensive, I worry about the destruction of the promising ties that reached beyond friendship, broken promises and the shroud of secrecy. While some reunions brought joy to my heart some other unions shouldn't even be. In all, for this book to affect me so, it's kudos to the author, I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys fantasy, romance with a dollop of humour.

I have been enthralled from the first word in the first book and I am still enthralled. But it's driving me nuts because I want to know how it ends but I can't just go to the end as that is pointless as w I won't know how it reached the end, so I have to read all the books. Nuts huh? I do however love all the different fae that are entwined in this read.

Must read in order. Another one of those series you just have to persevere with as nothing is explained it just gradually develops until you are hooked. Got everything so far normal humans, magic, mages, fairy, goodies, baddies etc., and now were adding army's and twists and turns. Well worth the effort. 7 in the series in total.

I have absolutely loved this series. It doesn't just tell a story but tells each character's individual journey as well, so you get to know each of them in depth. I have found them very addictive to read and can't wait for the next...
