With everything taken into account an extremely intriguing read, it secured a wide scope of points like gathering and making companions, sentimental connections, discussion aptitudes and what to search for in a decent and awful relationship. A decent broad book on the best way to connect with individuals and carry on with a solid and cheerful life. Not to numerous subtleties if your searching for points of interest in a specific territory yet a decent by and large establishment in case you're uncertain of what being social is about.
I now understand why I have been friendless. I now know how to make friends as well as how to relate. I always thought I was friendly but no I was not. Love this book!

5.0 out of 5 starsEffective Communication Skills for Modern Life

Being able to communicate your ideas well works in your favor if you want to be a person of influence. You have to admit that people with great social skills are more likeable and easier to talk to in general. Charles Covey and Dale Monson make the great point that when we listen attentively to people they feel that they matter. Ironically they will think ((YOU)) are a great conversationalist even if you say very little.
This book also covers the topics of:
Conversation Skills Developing Empathy Communicating Powerfully Correcting Your Body Language Being Aware of Others' Emotions How to Simplify Your Message So People Remember It
This book is a quick read but covers all the essential topics well. If this book only teaches you one core strength it will be well worth reading. I've been reading about how important it is to listen to others attentively and finally I've developed that skill enough for it to be noticeable. It has taken a long time to develop and is actually the most difficult thing to do if you have a very active mind and lots of ideas to share with people.
So read this book to learn effective communication skills for modern life. Yes, you may have to put away your iPhone for a few minutes but it is well worth it when you develop strong bonds with people and can talk to anyone.
A nice respite to remember the simpler things that we should do or techniques a person should try to use, try to remember, it is not what you say but how you say it
