Japanese sea monsters in the Bible?
I didn’t quite know what to expect from this unusual book, but I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised by it.
The author gives a scholarly and yet light-hearted approach to a topic few have even had the courage to delve into—the Biblical monsters—most notably, the Leviathan and Behemoth mentioned sporadically in Scripture.
Were these creatures armored, fire-breathing dragons of lore and legend or were they less frightening animals like our present day hippos and crocs? Is there an even greater and terrible symbolism hidden behind the biblical presentation?
If you ever been even slightly intrigued by these biblical monsters, you’ll thoroughly enjoy this book. In some unexplainable way, you will come to a greater appreciation of the majesty of God, His plan to eventually eradicate all forms of evil, and His universal sovereignty.
