The Season of Lady Chastity is the 4th book in Christina McKnight’s series Undaunted Debutants. I havent read the others although I bought them and they are on my to read list. Since It is Christmas and you can read her books as stand alone I read this one first. I now can’t wait to read the others as I have seen glimpses of these strong, lovely ladies that surround and support our heroine in this story.
This is a story about two young people Lady Chastity Neville and Bastian Stanhope, Earl Of Mansfield. Both of them are still living in the shadows of others when they meet at a Yuletide Wedding. Chastity is counting on this event to come out of her shell and not be the background scene in her sisters life. She loves and is bonded to her bluestocking sister, whose only 10 months older, but knows she knows she has very different aspirations and personality and she intends to act on it here and now. Her outgoing witty personality and attraction to the young Earl will start the ball rolling in the right direction but is Bastian able to get beyond his seemingly serious nature? He has for years taken on a very protective nature for his family and when his father dies he is the sole comforter of his mentally fragile widowed mother.
There is a mysterious love note found by the sisters that could change life as they know it, and there are several bullies from Bastian’s school days that he has to deal with to be able to move on to his own destiny. A lovely story of two lonely but strong souls fighting to find themselves and just maybe to find each other. Love Christina McKnight’s characters and I especially love her series and cannot wait for the next story to come out. I am counting there will be at least one more In this series and that of course is the Bluestocking sister of Chastity....Prudence’s story!
