5.0 out of 5 starsA Page-Turning Mystery

If you are a fan of stories that delve into religious extremism, government conspiracy, evil clandestine societies, political corruption, and where wealth, power, and influence can determine one’s fate, then you’ll enjoy reading this edge on your seat thriller. The author weaves into the narrative surprising events from nearly a century ago to present Los Angeles. Through flashbacks, the plot is riveting, bringing together some of the most multifaceted, well defined, diverse characters that you will respect, pity, or abhor. Just when you think you know which course the narrative is taking, you’re thrown lots of curb balls that expose murder, international crime syndicates, betrayal, deception, terrorism, secrets and lies, drugs and human trafficking, leading up to an ending that will leave you flabbergasted.

This was a very visual book to read! Descriptions were full without being over powering, making it feel as though the tale was taking place in a familiar location. The author's style of writing unfolded the plot at a rapid pace which kept the reader actively involved throughout the novel. Characters were interesting, well developed and just flawed enough to make them feel real. Twists in the plot came as a surprise and work to keep the reader guessing as to the conclusion. This read as a tale that would make an outstanding movie or tv series!
A totally captivating page turner that once you start you will not want to put down! Well formed vivid characters, great story line, and intricate plot twists. I could see the characters in my minds eye and would love to see this as a movie series. Would highly recommend for a great summer read or really anytime. DJ Williams you are a credit to your craft and I can't wait for the follow up to this novel!!
I am an avid reader and found this book to be just too incoherent. The plot rambled all over the place and I had to re-read parts to see if I had missed what was going on. The ending was absolutely ridiculous. Do Not Bother!
Spell binding. Didn't want to stop. I would read everyday when on the treadmill and elliptical! Made me want to keep working out! DJ is such an amazing storyteller. He keeps the pace flowing. Definitely worth reading. Relevant to our time. I recently watched an interview on "Restoration Road" with Mitchell Kruse. .You should check it out.
