When you can’t write an actual mystery, write a thriller. This seems to be what these authors thought. The problem is, with these iconic characters, mystery and an element of thrill is necessary to be good. A none existent set of mysteries mixed with humdrum thrillers. Not worth what I paid, either in money or in time.
so if your into great mysteries and love Sherlock Holmes this is the first of many unpublished novels of Doctor Watson... When I read the first collection I couldn't get over how much the dialog reminded me of Basil Rathbone And Nigel Bruce, The best Holmes And Watson ever, Excellent stories full of surprises and best of all... A Great Sherlock Holmes!!!

I liked this, it is a decent addition to the Holmes canons. It is very much in the Sir Dole’s work. The style, the pace, and the cases are correct, as is the period English.
5.0 out of 5 starsFaithful to the Sherlockian tradition!

Like Watson wrote it yesterday, faithful to the style and content of Doyle's Sherlockian stories - I wholeheartedly recommend the Davies Brothers addition to the Holmes lexicon.
