4.0 out of 5 starsNot having a good day

Bikers are after the husband and the scientist group and the evil gangsters from the gas station are searching for the little family in this installation. A tunnel is always handy. In the early sixties my father started on a tunnel beneath our small house in Alexandria , Louisiana to keep out Russians. He would dig a couple of scoops and take a swig of bourbon, dig and swig all day. He skipped work to dig the next day that October 1962. He did not get much done and gave up. We could not have afforded to stock it anyway. Thanks for putting in some Russians, everyone fears and mistrusts them even now. They would either invade or hit us with nukes just for old times sakes.
After buying and reading the 10 book omnibus collection I find it hanging with at least 2 more books (and purchases) needed t finish the story. I'm undecided if I will call it quits or continue on. I like the author, but not the 100 page serialized approach. This seems the trend with way too many trilogy (or longer e-books. Dissapointed!
Gosh this guy can write! I feel like I have learned so much about being prepared I feel like a prepper! I am not of course, but I sure have been heeding his writing. I hope none of his stories come to pass, but I will be prepared! The people in the book are so real! I can see them in my mind while reading and it brings them to life. I have read all of your books so far, except the scary ones, i.e. Chernobyl, and I am not a sci-fi person, but will continue to read your other series. Glad I found you!
So much going on in the midst of this story. So many people and so many issues and problems and so many dirtbags to deal with. Speaking of the dirtbags —- this author does a pretty good job of showing how bad they will be when the day comes. I sincerely hope you are taking steps now to prepare for them when “that day” comes.
I been following the series but left hanging, just finished but what happens to them..??? Hope you bring this to a closure. When I get into the characters, feel like we're did they go are they all dead, Winifred Ferguson, Austin mn

Enjoying the series. I like the added suspense of the ulterior motives of the Russians, Dianne' s predicament, and to see how Mark acts with the new responsibilities thrust upon him. Impatiently awaiting the next installment.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. Can't wait for the next book to come out. The characters are always believable and their actions fit with their personalities. Another cantputdownable must read.
I have this mental picture of you having a large piece of paper on your wall to help you to write each book, with comments of each character and how they fit into the story. Otherwise I think it would be to get dis-jointed to say the least. Up to now, this has been the best of this series for me. The Russians are still an enigma. The family back home are now seriously in trouble, with two children captured, and their Mum is wounded. Can't wait for book 11. Thanks again for entertaining me.
As usual hooked to the end then its when is my next one. Love the style and storytelling and the way you get invested into the characters and now and then reality bites in the storyline. Complete fan so yes I am very biased. More please
