On first coming across the first book The Reckoning last week I was immediately drawn into the fast pace and action and found myself hanging on the story and fate of the characters being developed. I often found myself saying I'll read just one more chapter, only to end up finishing the book and immediately purchasing Aftermath and reading that the following few days.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story being told and liked some of the main characters, the only downfall for me though is some parts of the storyline, particularly in the second book, didn't seem to quite flow in a few places and I flicked back to see if I had somehow missed something, and the ending seemed a little rushed and seemed that perhaps scenes had been glossed over or omitted, that is just how it felt to me however I know nothing about being an author or publishing.
I look forward to checking out Keith McArdle's other work and also saw that he intends to expand on this series, perhaps it is there that the final chapters in this book will be given further expansion to explain what we missed.
As for Craig, all the best to his family and many thanks to him and his Brothers.
