Earlier reviews of the last book in the series had readers swearing off Mr. Wallace. What they failed to realize, is that the reason(s) they became so upset was that he created characters and a story that they felt connected to and a world in which the pages of each novel engulfs one. People felt cheated, hurt and even stupefied. The truth is---He has engaged---wrote the story that has you at the seat of your pants. It makes you want to continue and forces you to fall in love with the characters and even half pretend it can be reality.
This in turn, made people upset when things didn't go their way. Not because the story got stale or the writing was bad, but because the reader became so connected it hurt to have a sad moment, or laughed too hard at a stupid joke to take it seriously. But, what is it? Too sad, too funny or just plain brilliant? If you can show pure emotion at a book that you have the ability to put down at anytime, that means the author did a great job!! Well done Mr. Wallace!!!!!
