5.0 out of 5 stars What they don't teach you at Berklee

Enlightening and entertaining, this book reads more like a modern day novel than strictly a "how to" book. Woven through these pages , you'll find deceit, suspense, betrayal, and redemption. It is the authentic storytelling mixed in with the educational content that makes this book a standout.

There are many ways to learn about the nuances and types of contracts in the music business or how to build a team and other lessons. But very few provide the real life 'edutainment' approach that this author gives you. This makes it both page turner as well as a reference guide.

On top of it , the author is truly a modern marketing genius who really gets the value of content marketing .He gets it in a way that only a true hustler can. The type of learning you don't get from a class, he has experienced it, tried it and succeeded at it. Some of the buzz building and audience creation ideas can be applied to any industy for any product. I have years of big brand digital marketing experienced and it gave me a few few great ideas about my own work.

I walked away feeling inspired to gift this book to people wanting a career in the music business and/or entrepreneurs from any industry need of inspiration and motivation to hustle.

Former VP BMG Music,
Former Sr.Director Microsoft
Current Chief Marketing Officer and Best Selling Author

(Note: there are a few small typos in the book which I would love to see edited out in the next edition. I did not let this impact my review)

5.0 out of 5 stars Must read(1 on 1) conversation

I think it's a Must read. It's like a (1 on 1) conversation. I recently completed "all you need to know about the music industry" and I read this after. While I won't say one is better than the next I will say that information combined is (explosion emoji) I feel greatly empowered. It's great to see sometimes your organically on track. Sometimes new information or validation and be an additional fuel and push. I'm looking forward to now applying this knowledge I now have(because that's where the true power is) Ousala I appreciate you making a commitment to writing this book to share knowledge with persons. It goes a long way. I decree and declare I know I'll meet you on my rise up. Terrance Colebrook founder of "Brdrins Records" straight from an island to the world.

Basically he is giving you the blueprint on how to make it in the rap game , it's up to the artist to follow someone who is already been there and done that. I wish he could manage me, i can relate to alot of stuff he's saying. I even had a convo with Ousala myself , very humble and knowledgeable .
