My oh my, this book was even better that the first and that was great. Three Jackson Brothers, first was Aaron, now Heath and Jenny. Jenny has been in love with Heath since she was a little girl of eleven and now she is grown up. This follows how their relationship unwinds with all the elements of a fantastic storyline with humor, extreme danger, suspense, romance, spanking both erotic and punishment and smoking hot sex. The story delves into the deep emotions of the characters and has the previous characters and hints at a third book about Luke, the carefree unmarried brother and the feisty girl he meets.

Let me start off this review by saying, I generally don't like historical stories. I tend to have a hard time understanding certain parts and it always seems like the authors don't do proper research and end up having items in the stories that haven't been invented yet. I'm happy to write, that was not the case with this story. Ms. Taylor has done her research and boy has it paid off.
While reading this story I felt like I had been transported back to 1878 where I got to meet Heath and Jenny. I have to say, at first, I hated Heath...a lot. He was acting like a donkey's behind for quite a few chapters, until he finally admitted to having feelings for Jenny and then I fell in love with him just as fast as Jenny did. I fell in love with the character Jenny. Despite all of the obstacles that were raining down on her, she stood up and took care of everything.
Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down until I finished it. Everything was perfect about it, but I didn't expect anything less from Ms. Taylor because she's a rock star author.
Now I can't wait until the third one comes out. I want to see what happens with Luke and Wisteria!!

I was happily surprised to see this new offering by Maddie Taylor. I absolutely loved Marshall's Law - but I must be honest, I loved this one even more! Jenny was a delight - she grew from a sweet, naive young woman to a woman of strength and character. This story was so much more emotional than the first story - some of the things that Jenny and her younger brother Will went through were heart rending. At times, I felt that Heath was selfish and rather too blunt (I hated how he unknowingly crushed Jenny's heart), but he was always there for Jenny. It just took him a while to realize that he truly loved her. Although this was a spanking story, Heath was never harsh with Jenny and, unlike in the previous story, he didn't treat her like a child. He truly wanted what was best for Jenny. Lots of fun, action, and loving...and it was wonderful to see Janelle, Aaron, and the entire Jackson family. I only hope we don't have to wait 2 years before reading Luke's story!
Beginning with page 1 and continuing all the way through the last page -- this is a GREAT BOOK! JACKSON'S JUSTICE (a western romance that takes place in 1878 when the west was still largely untamed) features a dominant man who definitely believes in the effectiveness of spanking! And...just in case you aren't already aware of the following fact...I feel the need to make sure you know that THIS AUTHOR HAS SKILLS!! So far, Maddie Taylor has written and released two books of this series; both books contain well-written, original and thoroughly enjoyable storylines revolving around wonderfully-developed characters. ๐ด This book can be read and completely enjoyed as a stand alone story -- but it will be EVEN BETTER if you first read the initial book of this series, MARSHAL'S LAW. I am completely looking forward to reading the next book of this series. [All signs suggest that Book 3 will feature the only remaining Jackson brother who is still single: middle brother, Luke. The big question in everyone's mind has to be: How long before he follows the lead of the other males in his family to become a swoon-worthy, strong, loving and dominant husband like his dad and his two VERY-RECENTLY-MARRIED brothers, Aaron and Heath ? Aaron was removed from the area's list of desired and eligible bachelors in Book 1 while Heath Jackson left his single lifestyle to become a married man in Book 2. ๐] I sincerely hope that we won't have to wait too long to read Book #3!
Jenny and Heath are so good together. I loved this book even more than the first one. I did think that Heath was a bit of a jerk in the beginning, but by the middle you could tell that he really loved Jenny. The spanking scenes where done well and the the love scenes where hot. I highly recommend this book. I would read the first book in the series first (Marshall's law).
I really wanted to hate this book. Really? Time travel? How over done.... but the reviews were great so I figured what the heck. I read super fast so no big loss, right? I really, really enjoyed this story! It was well written & had me really laughing! I will say this, though. By the third book it all seemes a tad contrived. Same basic story line once again, but that tends to happen in a series.
A new author for me. I can tell you this story with me glued to the pages till I finished it I did not read the 1st book which was a mistake do it is find it. I can recommend this author and tell you how much you will enjoy all the bits and pieces.
Wasn't a time travel like book one but I'm still very wrapped up in the storyline. Now of course on to book three. Letting my imagination paint the scences to go with the story.

What a fantastic book! I loved marshals law and this follow on is a must read. Jenny is a mixture of vulnerability and fiesty at the same time, Heath is stubborn determined never to marry even though Jenny hopes he will change. She overheard him talking about her a couple of times and she is hurt by his insensitivity (he need a good set down) but when her parents die and she resorts to unladylike methods to support herself he is quick to step in. There is so many twists and turns, the book is a great length the only thing I would have liked is more spanking scenes and less sex scenes. I now look forward to reading a book on the last brother,Luke (please please please)
This is well written. It has an interesting storyline with many twists. At times it is exciting, and at other times passionate. It has contrast and conflict and describes different aspects of society from the wealthy to the poor. The story makes use of criminals, saloon girls, outlaws, cowboys and lawmen. There is ever-changing interest throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is a fast paced story with a good plot. At times it stretched the reader's credulity but as long as you suspended disbelief it was entertaining. I liked the way the characters are linked to a previous book. Looking forward to the next one. Surely Luke will meet his wife in it.
