Ian Dex is evolving. Suddenly vulnerable to a Djinn’s control, Ian is bitten by a vampire and the vampire venom affects him in a totally unexpected manner, sending Ian into a frenzy of blood lust and destruction. Ian easily kills the Djinn and narrowly stops himself from going after the vampire. After awakening from the Djinn’s control, Ian realizes he’s bitten into the Djinn with vampire fangs, which Ian wasn’t aware he had. Sure enough, with a little concentration, fangs popped out, giving Ian a very humorous Igor-ish lisp. In Curse of Fangs, Ian discovers he has traits of many races that are starting to appear at opportune (and sometimes inopportune) moments. Ian’s personality is becoming much more aggressive, which his current girlfriend Rachel appears to like very much. Rachel starts treating Ian in an almost submissive way, totally unlike her usual dominating, snarky self, while Ian seems to be taking on those aspects of Rachel’s personality. Ian and Rachel deal with all sorts of crazed creatures in this book, with Ian’s often surprising new personality traits and abilities constantly surfacing. As always, Logsdon and Young have served up another winner in this series, and I can’t wait until the next volume. If you aren’t already reading this series, you should find the first book and read them all, and I’m sure you too will be hooked.
Ian Dex is back and he's been bitten by a vampire. Which, in Ian's case, isn't as bad as you might think. Mostly. Ok, sort of.
Ian and his PPD team take on werebears, pixies, goblins, a djinn, and a bunch of nasty vampires. On the way they're helped by a lot of other djinn, some sexy Valkyries, and the Queen of the Demons.
What more could you ask for? Ian is starting to dig into the happenings that have begun to crop up in Las Vegas. It's a mystery that few who appear to have answers are willing to help him solve.
5.0 out of 5 starsYet another FANTASTIC Ian Dex Novel.

This is yet another exciting chapter in Dex's life. You won't want to put it down. Lots of action from start to finish and a pace that makes you want to keep reading. Great as a stand alone book, but I am betting if you start with this 1 you will want to read the series. JPL takes into his own fully formed universe filled full of interesting and some dangerous races. He has everything in it. We get everything from Djinn to Werewolves and a truly delightful foul mouthed Pixie in EQK . So take the plunge and enjoy.
The Ian Dex Las Vegas PPD novels are not for the faint of heart. If you are turned off by supernaturals, bloody fights and laughing out loud in public at the most inopportune times then these are not books for you. If, however, you are like me and find supernatural stories with excellent action and enough hilarity to regularly have people looking at you as if you are mentally deranged then buy them all now. Nuff said!
Ian Dex is at his best in this latest offering from Logsdon & Young. All of his powers are enhanced, most of which help him solve the case, some of which enhance his love life, and some are just downright funny. This is not for the faint hearted, but is a great story. Logsdon & Young are developing characters and answering background questions and moving the entire series forward. I look forward to the next book.

This is the sixth book in the Ian Dex series and it is just as good as the first book This one Dex finds himself getting in touch with his inner Dex, literally. Seems all of his DNA is coming to party with him and thanks to the latest Uber. And with a little help from the Djinn things get interesting.

What do you do when everything you know about your powers and how they work is no longer valid? When the woman you love is not acting like herself? Ian Dex is facing a lot of questions, the main one, however, is will get to the bottom of the Uber mystery before everything he values is destroyed?

This fantastically funny urban fantasy series about Ian Dex and his team in the Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department started with The Merging, was even better in Grave Creatures, yet better again in Blood Bane Tower, went across the Pond for an adventure in London Growl, went up against purple dinosaurs in Swarm of Fire and now able to ...well you wouldn't believe me if I told you so it’ll be better to read it for yourself?! The whole team are fun, sarcastic and neither perfect nor pc. There is a great mixture of laugh out loud humour, action and storyline in this addictive series which kept me wanting to read more even though I knew I had to get up early for work in the morning?! I am enjoying seeing this great series developing and absolutely cannot wait to read more!

The book is as a little different from John P Logsdon, Ian Dex is a great character, this book shows him in a slightly different light. I'm trying not to give anything away so writing this is rather hard. I did laugh out loud, again in the doctors waiting room to some of the pixie colourful language. Like the twists and am trying to second guess who is behind all this...I do hope I'm right but we will see. Great read,a little naughty but a lot of fun. More of the same please.
Another great adventure from the guys and girls of the Las Vegas paranormal police department. These books just get better and better. This time there’re after a renegade vampire. Will the team triumph yet again or have they finally met their match. You’ll have to read this fast paced action comedy to find out.

Another great book in the Ian Dex series. This time Ian finds himself with an unexpected boost to his already outstanding supernatural powers, he also discovers a few things about his genetic make-up that he was not aware of. We see a few more emotions from the main character in this book and it feels like things are starting to build towards a final conclusion. I can't wait for the next installment

After being bitten by a vampire Ian's different DNA enhancements go crazy! Who knew having fangs made you lisp? Thinking I want to be ...... makes that super's ability come into play, sometimes! Ian is on the edge as he can't control what is happening to him, can't get the answers he needs. Have a read and see where the powers lead him.
