I was encouraged by the good reviews that were given this book thus I read it. However, I was disappointed it didn't live up to my expectations.
I wouldn't focus on the characters because Molly and Rafe's characters were established well. Their love story gradually blossomed as it seems (too slow actually), finally at almost the middle of the book. So here goes things that I didn't like.
Spencer and Jesse. Their love story casted a shadow on Molly and Rafe's story. Sometimes it got me out of focus. I couldn't believed that a doctor and OB GYN at that, would forget to use protection and got pregnant. Some reviews said their story was sweet. I found it not. It seemed to me Spencer was forced to love Jesse and eventually marry her because she got pregnant. And how could you love a person instantly? It stole some highlights from the main characters. Not in a good way for me though. I got bored later on and just simply and totally skipped the Jesse and Spencer's story altogether. I actually sympathized more with Spencer than with Jesse.
Too many commas, typos, and periods. Don't want to elaborate as other reviews were made specific about these.
Flashbacks and backstory of Molly and Rafe were repeated over and over again. It should have been better if the author just made one chapter on this and moved on. But no. Unfortunately, you will be reminded all throughout the book of how inhumane Robert was to Molly when he walked out the door, how Rafe got dumped by his wife and why. I also got confused with Molly's parents' story. One time they loved each other and the next her father walked out on them and her mother was planning who the next husband would be. The book was around 300+ pages, but for me there were only half of them that made relevance and worth reading.
It should have been five on how the story of Molly and Rafe unfolds but other than that I found the rest uninteresting.
